Orient Express

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Maryland and perhaps the entire country. Do yourself a favor and order the spicy fish fillets.

I ordered a mushroom stir fry, but what arrived was more of a slimy soup with raw mushrooms doing laps in it (see photo). Naturally, I asked if this was the right dish and they confidently responded something like “some stir fries render water.” I couldn’t eat more than a bite and will never step a foot in this restaurant.

0 stars! Had to put 1 start to leave a review. DO NOT EAT HERE!! Their Kung Pao Chk had my tongue tingling. Mine and my husband. We took a few bites and the tingling hit me before him. My tongue started feeling funny, then the tingling gradually increased to my entire tongue and parts of my mouth. I was thinking 'Omgosh, is this poison?!' I was so freaked out and praying that whatever it was, would not have an effect on my body. Whatever it was, all I know is, it wasn't fresh, natural, or prepared with quality and care. I will never eat from here again and I will let as many people know about them that I can. Let's all be extremely careful with the people we place our trust in to feed us!

I ordered food thru a third party app, I did not eat in. I really wanted to like this more, the reviews were not too bad on DoorDash (but then I saw the reviews here). What I got, though, was a lot of really odd food. The Shrimp Fried Rice was unbelievably bland, like NO flavor, it was like chewing air. So strange, honestly. The Wonton Soup was better, but loaded with a seasoning I have never noted in Wonton soup before. Not necessarily bad, just not what I was expecting. The Egg Rolls (2 pcs) were the most "normal" of the items I got. It was pretty basic and well made. No fortune cookies, no Chinese mustard included. So, yeah. Kinda meh. I don't see myself ordering here again.

One of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore!!! Authentic Chinese food, I have brought almost all my friends here! We all enjoyed the food here!
