About Orda Restaurant

Orda Restaurant, located at 1850 Dundas St E in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, can be contacted at (905) 279-9111 or via mobile at +1 905-279-9111. While categorized as a Chinese restaurant, Orda offers a dining experience that many find unique and distinct. One customer who had visited their Oakville location preferred the Mississauga branch, noting the "fantastic and delis" food and significantly faster service.

The restaurant's environment is described as spacious, accommodating families, casual gatherings, and even romantic settings. Stepping inside is said to evoke a unique feeling, as if entering another serene world. This suggests that Orda Restaurant offers an ambiance that sets it apart from typical Chinese restaurants.

Popular dishes recommended by customers include lamb chop rice, lamb offal soup, and cold spaghetti. The kabob is also highlighted as "excellent." Customers frequently mention the "impressive" and "ridiculously big" portions, often leading to feeling very full after a meal. This feature could be a significant draw for those looking for value and generous servings.

A notable feature, though potentially a drawback for first-time visitors, is the current ordering system. Customers have pointed out that there is no clear indication of which plates are meant for sharing or the exact contents of these platters. This lack of clarity can lead to over-ordering, as one reviewer who ordered a sharing platter intended for 3-4 people discovered. It is advised for newcomers to cautiously order and perhaps share a single dish initially, if they can identify a suitable one.

Despite the ordering system issue, the overall recommendation is to try Orda Restaurant for its unique atmosphere, fantastic food, and generous portions. However, first-time visitors should be mindful of the potential for large servings and the ambiguity in the sharing platter descriptions.

Currently, no specific promotional information is available in the provided reviews. However, the positive feedback on the food quality and unique dining experience suggests that Orda Restaurant offers a compelling option for local users seeking a different kind of Chinese restaurant.

I went to Orda in Oakville first and I liked this location better. The food is fantastic and delis as always, service is much faster here. The space is spacious enough for family, chill & romantic. It’s a unique feeling to step inside the restaurant, as if you are entering into another world. It’s quite serene. I would highly recommend you try lamb chop rice, lamb offal soup & cold spaghetti. Their kabob is excellent, too! Too full when I was done. I didn’t try their dessert. Maybe next time I will.

Very impressive portions hidden inside of an unassuming outside! First timer to the cuisine and was pleasantly surprised with the seasoning and variety offered on each plate. The portions were immense, I mean, ridiculously big. The biggest downside is that the current ordering system is not user friendly. No indication of which plate is a sharing platter or what's exactly included in them. If you're a regular then it's whatever, but as a first timer we ordered a sharing platter and no one came to check if that was what we intended (four regular dishes and then a sharing platter would flag any server). I'd recommend just sharing a simple dish (good luck figuring out which ones those are) and then sharing it. The sharing platter was easily for 3-4 people. Overall, I'd recommend that you try it, albeit cautiously.

Got the lamb skewers, braised rib with noodles and whatever the lamb pocket things are called. The service was really good and friendly. The restaurant looks nice. The food was kind of a let down. The skewers were solid. The noodle dish didn't have much flavour. The lamb pocket things really didn't either. Everything was a little expensive as well.

Had dinner there late last night. I really like that they are open late and have plenty of parking. We were a group of 9 people and they were able to accommodate us quickly even though it was quite busy. We had so much delicious and spicy food, portions were big and the soup had free refills! On top of that, the service was truly great. It’s also a very good-looking restaurant with nice decor and comfortable seating, and it’s bigger than you expect. 10/10, would recommend to anyone!

Lovely restaurant, welcoming & attentive service. Very tasty chicken traditional lahman, good veggie/meat to noodle ratio. Lamb organ soup went well with the complimentary naan, which was nice’n soft. First time trying Uyghur cuisine, will definitely revisit to try more dishes.
