About Orange Chicken

Welcome to Orange Chicken, a Chinese Restaurant located at 5611 Rosemead Blvd, Temple City, CA 91780, USA. Orange Chicken aims to serve the local community with a variety of Chinese dishes. Based on recent customer feedback, there are contrasting experiences regarding the food temperature, but consistent praise for the staff and portion sizes. For local users seeking a Chinese meal in Temple City, understanding these aspects of Orange Chicken will help in making an informed decision.

One of the positive aspects frequently mentioned by customers is the welcoming nature of the staff. According to one reviewer, the staff is "welcoming," which contributes to a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. Friendly service can significantly enhance the dining experience, making customers feel valued and comfortable. This positive note about the staff suggests that Orange Chicken prioritizes customer interaction and aims to create a hospitable environment for its patrons.

Another significant advantage highlighted by a customer is the "enormous portions" offered at Orange Chicken. Coupled with this is the assessment that it provides "great value." Large portions at a reasonable price point are often a major draw for diners, as it ensures a satisfying meal without straining the budget. This combination of quantity and affordability can make Orange Chicken an attractive option for families, students, and anyone looking for a substantial meal.

The convenience of Orange Chicken's operating hours is also noteworthy. One reviewer mentioned their "extended hours until 8:30," which can be beneficial for those who prefer to dine later in the evening or have schedules that don't align with typical restaurant hours. Furthermore, this customer was "impressed by their willingness to accommodate late orders," indicating a flexible and customer-oriented approach to service, even close to closing time.

However, alongside these positive comments, there is a significant concern raised by another customer regarding the temperature of the food served. This reviewer expressed strong dissatisfaction, stating, "there's no way I'm paying for cold food." They emphasized that this was not near closing time or during an odd hour, but at 3:00 p.m. on a Sunday, and they began eating within one minute of the food being served. The fact that the food was colder than the ambient temperature (70°F outside) is particularly troubling and suggests a potential issue with food preparation, holding temperatures, or serving practices. This negative experience led the reviewer to conclude, "Won't be back," indicating a severe impact on their perception of the restaurant's quality.

The contrast between the positive feedback on staff, portions, and hours, and the negative feedback on food temperature, presents a nuanced picture of Orange Chicken. While the value and service aspects seem to be strong points for some customers, the issue of cold food is a serious concern that potential diners should be aware of. It suggests a lack of consistency in food quality or adherence to proper food safety standards in some instances.

Information regarding the environment of Orange Chicken is limited. The reviews do not provide details about the restaurant's decor, ambiance, or cleanliness. The focus is primarily on the staff, food (portion size and temperature), and operating hours. Therefore, it is difficult to describe the physical setting of the establishment based solely on these two reviews.

The services offered at Orange Chicken include dine-in (implied by the act of being served food at a table) and likely take-out, although this is not explicitly mentioned. The welcoming nature of the staff suggests a customer-friendly approach to service. The willingness to accommodate late orders indicates a degree of flexibility and a desire to cater to customer needs beyond the standard operating hours. However, the instance of serving cold food points to a potential lapse in service quality concerning food preparation and delivery to the table.

Features of Orange Chicken that can be identified from the reviews are its welcoming staff, enormous portion sizes that offer great value, and convenient extended operating hours with a willingness to accommodate late orders. On the negative side, a significant feature is the reported issue of food being served cold, which raises concerns about food quality and potentially food safety.

No promotional information is mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users interested in any special offers, discounts, or promotions at Orange Chicken would need to contact the restaurant directly at (626) 286-8893 or +1 626-286-8893 to inquire.

In conclusion, Orange Chicken in Temple City offers a mixed bag of experiences based on the available customer reviews. The welcoming staff, generous portions providing good value, and convenient extended hours are definite positives that might attract many local diners. However, the serious issue of food being served cold is a significant drawback that potential customers should consider. This inconsistency in food temperature could be a major deterrent for those who prioritize the quality and safety of their meals. While the positive aspects suggest a potentially good dining option, the negative report warrants caution. Local users might want to consider these factors when deciding whether to dine at Orange Chicken. If you choose to visit, it may be prudent to check the temperature of your food upon arrival. For more information, you can contact the restaurant directly.

The people were nice, but there's no way I'm paying for cold food. I'd understand if it was right befopre closing or an odd hour, but it's 3:00 p.m. on a Sunday and I started eating within one minute of it being served... Like how is it 70° outside, but my food is colder than the ambient temperature? Won't be back

This is nice alternative to Panda Express for fast casual Chinese food. Located in a strip mall next to Super A foods grocery store. Great portions and friendly staff. They charge a fee for card payments less than $10. Nice place to grab lunch if your nearby.

Was not very good. Dry orange chicken. Beef brocoli looked and tasted old. Only thing I can recommend is the chow mien. Would not come back :/

Bad food. Dry orange chicken, tasteless fried rice and noodles. I forced myself to eat it since I was hungry, but it was a tough job. I threw away more than half.
