As a Chinese Restaurant, Opera House presents a modern approach to Chinese food. Having recently opened, it offers a cute and seemingly clean environment. One reviewer who visited during weekday lunch noted that the restaurant was surprisingly empty despite being past the typical lunch rush. They found the food to be good but slightly pricey for lunchtime in Philadelphia's Chinatown and mentioned a cash discount being offered.
Another customer highlighted the excellent food and cheerful service provided by the waiters, noting their attentiveness even when busy. A unique feature of Opera House is the inclusion of a KTV (karaoke television) for parties, and they also serve drinks. This reviewer suggests that the restaurant is accommodating to customer needs and recommends trying it to fully experience what it offers.
Opera House appears to be a Chinese restaurant that combines contemporary Chinese cuisine with entertainment options like KTV. If you are looking for a modern dining experience with the possibility of karaoke and drinks in Philadelphia's Chinatown, Opera House could be worth a visit, especially if you can take advantage of their cash discount.

Modern take on Chinese food. This place has only been open for a couple of months. Stopped for a lunch on a weekday. We arrived at 1:30, a little later than the lunch rush. But we were still surprised to see the place was completely empty. It's cute and nice. Seems clean. Food is a tick pricey for Philly at lunch time, especially for Chinatown. Discounts for cash here, so hit the ATM on the way. Food is good 👍🏽
You can enjoy the best food here and receive cheerful service from the waiters. No matter how busy they are, they will come over as long as you call. There is also a KTV for party, and drinks are also provided. As long as the needs that can be met can be met, I can only Say you have to try it once to understand.
I had a wonderful experience at this spot! The noodle soup was delicious with rich, hearty flavors, and the noodles were cooked just right. I was also pleasantly surprised by the variety of unique desserts available—each one a delightful treat. Plus, the prices are very fair. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the mood for some tasty soup and a sweet dessert!
Updated for more content!! Went back to have zhajiang noodles and they changed their presentation a little, which was nice! Zhajiang sauce was as good as I remembered since my last visit, and I love how they deep fry their own peanuts! Had their chicken wings as a starter, it was crunchy and juicy. It’s marinaded in something but I personally would love something more to the wings, whether it be garlic or a spicier marinade. It was great but it didn’t hit the spot for me. This osmanthus drink on the other hand, is heavenly! They were not stingy on the dried flowers and the tea was brewed perfectly. The bottom is Chinese fermented wine so it added another layer of flavours to this drink. Prices for bubbles teas everywhere else are hitting the 10 dollar mark at this point so this drink is so perfectly refreshing, and affordable!!! —————————————————————— I’ve craved zhajiang noodles for ever and ever! And they delivered!!! It’s the closest thing to the old Beijing Style zhajiang and really delicious! Also ordered crepes because the truck at Drexel is gone. Their crepe is slightly on the chewy side and the fillings aren’t “traditional” but I had mine with beef and it was yummy. Please be busy and stay in Chinatown for ever and ever and ever!!!
Delicious and quick service! Came in the afternoon on the weekend and had the beef brisket noodle soup and the zhajiang noodles. Everything was very authentically flavored and noodles were super chewy! I loved that the zhajiang noodles came with cucumbers and carrots on the side. Also tried the popcorn chicken which was crispy and not too salty. The scallion pancakes were crisp and a perfect start to the meal. They had an “all day noodle special” where you could get a drink + appetizer with your noodle order for $5 - great deal and would recommend!
