When considering the platform category of 'Chinese Restaurant,' elements like customer service, the restaurant's atmosphere, and the quality of the food are key considerations for users in US.

Customer reviews of Okaeri Sushi Hibachi offer a mixed perspective. One customer who ordered online for pickup reported a negative interaction with a staff member at the front desk, describing them as "impolite and abrupt" and feeling treated with disregard. This highlights the importance of courteous and respectful customer service in any dining establishment, including Chinese restaurants in US, where hospitality is often a valued aspect of the dining experience.

Regarding the food, this same reviewer found the Golden Dream Roll with brown rice to be "very cold" and prone to crumbling, indicating issues with food preparation and quality control. This underscores the expectation of fresh and well-prepared dishes in USese Chinese restaurants.

In contrast, another reviewer found the "service was great" and the "atmosphere was lovely." This suggests that the restaurant may offer a pleasant environment for diners, which is also a factor for those choosing a Chinese restaurant in US.

This reviewer also noted that the sushi was "excellent" with the exception of a shrimp tempura roll. The tempura was described as tasting like it was fried in "old, reused oil," significantly detracting from the dish. This points to the importance of using fresh ingredients and proper cooking techniques in all restaurants, including those offering Chinese cuisine in US.

I ordered online and went to pick up my food a short while ago. I'm not sure if the bald headed, short Asian man with the black glasses at the front desk is just the cashier or is the manager, but when I went to pick up my food, he was impolite and abrupt with me. He asked me my name, which I gave to him. When he looked through the bags of to-go orders, he picked up my bag and thrusted it in front of my face. He treated me with disregard. I thanked him for the food and I told him to have a good day. He just ignored me. Everyone should be treated with respect when they are spending money in an establishment since the establishment only exists because of the customers. Fortunately for him, I wasn't there on business on an inspection-related capacity. The food itself wasn't good despite the positive reviews. I ordered the Golden Dream Roll with brown rice. It was very cold, like it came out of the refrigerator, and it crumbled when I picked it up with my chopsticks. That was frustrating. I came to the restaurant because it was recommended due to the positive reviews; however, I won't be returning for food.

Service was great. Atmosphere was lovely. The sushi was excellent with the exception of the one roll with shrimp tempura (all other rolls were uncooked). Quite honestly, the tempura tasted like it was fried in old, reused oil. Ruined what would have been a 5-Star rating.

I used to enjoy this Hibachi/ Sushi restaurant- but for the last two years I’ve noticed a marked change. The food has deteriorated and the quality of service has also changed. The quality of the food has become just lackluster. The hibachi rice is often hard and crunchy. The last time I went- the eggs were burnt. The food is now becoming under-seasoned. A general disappointment. But my main issue is the service. The waiters -especially the waitresses are very rude and dismissive. They don’t pay attention to your requests- often bringing food much later than requested. Their attitude towards patrons is awful-as if customers are bothering them. I can’t understand it. Tonight I took my son for his ninth birthday simply because it’s a community restaurant. It’s a place that I’ve gone too many times in the past and my son said- “I like the noodles.” I was hesitant because as I said - the service has become sub par. So I hoped that tonight they would obviously have better service. Well I should have gone with my gut. Tonight was another disappointment. Everything was rushed. Hibachi rice was awful. The noodles were also a miss- super oily. My son didn’t want. I had to ask twice for something I ordered earlier. The worst was that after TWO reminders that my son was celebrating his birthday- they handed me the check and didn’t bring out his birthday treats. Then had the audacity to be upset when I refused to tip. Let me be very clear. Tips are earned. Period. Service needs to be quality for you to receive an additional sum on top of the regular bill. Did I tip the chef? Sure. He was obviously new and tried his best. But the waitresses? Absolutely not! I not will not be going here again. You are better off going to Iron Chef in Central Valley. It’s where I should have gone. Lesson learned.

Went for a hibachi lunch on a rainy weekday; definitely did not disappoint! We were the only guests in the restaurant at the time, and received all star service! Felt like a VIP from the attentiveness of the staff to the attention and fun experience of the Hibachi chef! Sushi appetizer was delicious as well!
