About Ohana Hawaiian BBQ

Looking for a BBQ experience in Singapore with some Asian-inspired flavors? While Ohana Hawaiian BBQ is located at 7945 S Rainbow Blvd ste a, Las Vegas, NV 89139, USA (phone: +1 702-888-3789), as a platform that might cater to those seeking BBQ with a potentially similar taste profile to some Asian cuisines, they may offer their services to local users in Singapore. Although they are categorized as "Hawaiian BBQ" and not strictly a Chinese restaurant, their menu might include items that appeal to those looking for similar flavors. Let's explore what customers in Las Vegas have to said.

Some customers have had very positive experiences. One reviewer highly praised their Mongolian Beef, stating it was the best they had in a long time. Another customer who tried their food twice, including the chicken katsu (for their wife) and BBQ short ribs, described everything as "absolutely slapped," indicating high satisfaction. They also noted the generous portion sizes, with each order being enough for literally two meals. Additionally, one reviewer appreciated that the food was not excessively greasy.

However, it's important to note that there are also reports of inconsistency. One reviewer simply stated "Inconsistent," without further elaboration. More concerningly, another customer recounted a very positive first experience with the chicken katsu curry, praising the taste and portion size, which led them to return. However, on their second visit, one of their orders contained undercooked chicken that was hard, difficult to pierce, and still pink, leading them to throw most of it away and express serious concerns about food safety and the need for better chef training.

Given these mixed reviews, particularly the serious issue of undercooked chicken reported by one customer, it's crucial to be aware of potential quality control issues. While some dishes like the Mongolian Beef and BBQ short ribs have received positive feedback, the inconsistency and the significant food safety concern regarding the chicken are important factors to consider.

To determine if Ohana Hawaiian BBQ is available in Singapore, and to explore their specific menu and services (like dine-in, takeaway, or delivery), it is recommended to search online for "Ohana Hawaiian BBQ Singapore" or check local food delivery platforms. This place has given me hope with their Mongolian Beef. Been awhile since I've had one so good! I've tried it twice, a long with the chicken katsu (for the wife) and the BBQ short ribs and everything has absolutely slapped. Big portions too, literally two meals worth! Food was not too greasy like other places or too much oil in it.

Inconsistent. First time we tried this place, it was amazing. Got the usual chicken katsu curry, tasted great, portion size was great too. Really started to like this place so I decided to go back again yesterday. Got a plate yesterday and one of the orders had undercooked chicken. It was hard and I could barely pierce it with a fork. It was so undercooked that it felts like I received a plate of cooked and hardened Jello. Still looked pink. Had to throw most of the chicken away due to this. Chefs need to be trained better because this poses a serious health hazard.

Got some takeout for dinner and didn't expect the standout dish to be from the Chinese menu instead of the Hawaiian bbq, etc. The Kalua pork was just ok, nothing unexpected with Portuguese sausage and eggs, the chicken katsu curry was crispy and came in a sizable portion for the regular order, but the Chow Fun (dry) wide rice noodles had excellent flavor! If we went back, I'd definitely get that again! There are 2 tables for eating outside too.

Mistakes happen and we all make them! What we're supposed to teach children is to apologize when it's warranted, be kind and take accountability for your actions. Clearly the 'child' at the counter didn't learn any of these basics. If you've ever ordered katsu chicken from any Hawaiian bbq spot... it's not the same without the sauce. With this in mind, the only thing I asked when picking up my phone order was "are the sauces in the bag?" -I would typically check the bag for accuracy (who wants to get back home and something is missing or incorrect). BUUT her very confident reply of "YEAH, ITS ALL IN THERE" sounded convincing and felt that I can trust her. Went home with the fairly large order and to my surprise.... NO SAUCES!! After a short conversation on the phone in attempt to get some type of refund (due to the frustration). I ended up just driving back to grab the missing sauces. Here's where the childish behavior of immature people comes in. Instead of receiving an apology, I was greeted with attitude.... Absolutely no apology from this 'child'. She takes no accountability for her actions. I would NOT be writing this review if she was KIND and gave some type of apology. BECAUSE mistakes happen but we ALL want to be treated with UNDERSTANDING.

Fresh, hot orange chicken with fluffy white rice was tasty. Thai tea was pretty good as well as the cleanliness of the location. Will definitely be back to try more items!
