About Oh Dumplings
Welcome to Oh Dumplings, a local Chinese restaurant situated at 108 S Oxford St, Brooklyn, NY 11217, USA. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Oh Dumplings offers a convenient option for those in the Brooklyn area looking for a quick and flavorful meal, specializing in dumplings and other Chinese-inspired dishes. You can contact them at (347) 889-6069 or via mobile at +1 347-889-6069.
Based on recent customer feedback, Oh Dumplings appears to be a convenient "grab and go" spot, catering to individuals looking for a quick meal. The restaurant features a small counter area equipped with four bar stool seats, providing a limited space for those who wish to eat their food immediately on-site. This setup suggests a focus on takeout and quick service rather than a traditional sit-down dining experience.
One customer reported a positive experience with the dumplings, noting that they were served "piping hot" and praised the flavor and textures. This customer specifically enjoyed the pork and chive dumplings and the pork buns, indicating a high level of satisfaction with these particular menu items and expressing a definite intention to order them again in the future. This suggests that the dumplings are a highlight of the menu and are well-received for their quality when enjoyed fresh.
However, another recent review presents a more critical perspective, particularly concerning the quality and consistency of certain dishes, especially for takeout or delivery orders. This customer, who identifies as a regular, expressed disappointment with recent changes in the flavor and overall quality of previously enjoyed items such as the cold noodles and bing. They mentioned that Oh Dumplings used to be their "go-to spot" for ordering in, implying a history of positive experiences. The recent decline in quality has led to dissatisfaction, with a concerning incident involving a string or thread found in their noodles. This feedback raises concerns about potential issues with food preparation, quality control, and cleanliness, particularly for orders that are not consumed immediately at the counter.
The customer with the negative experience explicitly urged the owners to pay attention to quality, cleanliness, and consistency, emphasizing their desire to continue supporting the business. This suggests that while there might be potential in the food offerings, maintaining consistent standards is crucial for customer satisfaction and retention, especially for those who rely on Oh Dumplings for takeout or delivery.
Given the limited information available, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive description of the environment beyond the small counter area mentioned. The focus seems to be primarily on functionality for quick service rather than elaborate ambiance. Cleanliness, however, is a point of concern raised in one of the reviews, suggesting that this might be an area needing attention to ensure a positive experience for all customers.
The services offered by Oh Dumplings appear to include primarily takeout, with a very limited option for immediate on-site consumption at the counter. The mention of being a "go-to spot if I need to order in" suggests that delivery services are likely available, although the negative review regarding quality issues was in the context of a delivery order. The recent positive review focused on the freshness and quality when eating the dumplings hot from the counter, implying that the experience might vary depending on how and where the food is consumed.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information provided in the customer reviews. Chinese restaurants often have lunch specials or other deals, but there is no mention of any such offers for Oh Dumplings in the available feedback. To inquire about any current promotions or discounts, it would be best to contact the restaurant directly.
In summary, Oh Dumplings in Brooklyn offers a convenient option for those seeking a quick bite, particularly dumplings and potentially other Chinese dishes like pork buns. The pork and chive dumplings and pork buns have been highlighted as enjoyable when eaten fresh and hot at the counter. However, recent feedback indicates potential issues with the quality and consistency of other menu items, such as cold noodles and bing, especially for takeout or delivery orders, with concerns raised about cleanliness. The restaurant features a very limited seating area, suggesting a primary focus on grab-and-go service. While the potential for delicious food exists, maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and consistency is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction, especially for those ordering for consumption off-site. For the most up-to-date information on the menu, services, and any potential promotions, it is recommended to contact Oh Dumplings directly.

Yummy spot for a grab and go. They have a small counter area with 4 bar stool seats if you want to eat real quick. The dumplings came out piping hot. Enjoyed the flavor and textures. Had the pork and chive and the pork buns. I'd definitely get both again.
Hey owners - your cold noodles and bing used to be so good. You’re my go-to spot if I need to order in. Lately, the flavors are way off and the quality has gone way down. In my last order, there was a string/thread (??) in my noodles… Come on guys, I’d like to support the business. Please pay attention to quality, cleanliness and consistency.
Good reviews prompted us to try this place. Upon entrance, we were immediately greeted, on your left, you’ll notice a wall with photos and descriptions of their entrees. They have an open kitchen and you’re able to watch your food being prepped. I feel bad for the staff since there’s no air conditioning in this place. The menu has multiple varieties of dumplings, congee, and bubble tea. There are a handful of counter stools at your right to have a quick bite and go, but it’s Ideal for takeout. We decided to try the dumplings: Chicken (chicken, fresh mushroom, celery, and onion). Pork (Fresh all natural pork, and cabbage) Veggie (Non GMO tofu, fresh zucchini, kale, mushroom, and carrot). *you can’t see the ingredients because it’s all minced together with the exception of the Veggie. Sesame Noodle (Noodles mixed with sesame paste and house made sauce). And the Kelp salad (wasn’t good). All in all I wasn’t impressed, the dumplings all tasted the same and were fried with seed oil that was heavy on the digestion. The MSG (which they allege to be a small amount) in the dumplings made my heart race. The sesame noodles were a bit dry, however, the noodles themselves were good. There’s much room for improvement here, especially the type of cooking oils used at this establishment. And I wish them good luck on their next Department of Health inspection… hopefully, they’ll manage to do better and go from their current (B) Grade to an (A).
Brooklyn Represent! Okay so if you are a dumpling fan! This spot is legit! Ordered the Spicy Pork and Mushroom Dumplings and the Pork Belly Buns.. sooo good!! Lin was very accommodating and he’s energy made the food experience better!! Definitely coming back! Oh and they have veggie options too.
DELICIOUS! I ordered the vegetarian dumplings and the Vegan tofu filled scallion pancake. The flavors are outstanding and fresh with great portions. I will DEFINITELY order again!
