Octo Restaurant

Really cool that there is now a place like @octo.nyc that serves Korean “Chinese” food. We were only there for a quick lunch so couldn’t order much food, but the dishes at other tables looked good 👀 My jjamppong was yummy with many ingredients, but also very spicy! I like spices but was starting to sweat! The portion was large too so I left happy and full.

You could see and taste the dedication and craftsmanship that went into the food as to presentation and quality highlights it. The duck was my favorite as the thick sauce and vegetables pair greatly in the thin dough wrap. The noodles of the black bean noodles (not pictured) were perfectly chewy and made in-house. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I recommend it!!

The duck was the showstopper here and is a must order if you’re stopping by. The rest of the food was okay but the duck is a dish that was memorable and would make me come back. We had a very large group and was able to get seating with reservations. Great interior and lovely staff, would recommend.

A Hidden Gem for Korean-Chinese Cuisine in NYC! Discovered Octo during my New York trip, and it was such a pleasant surprise. The space is clean, stylish, and has a modern, hip vibe. The service was warm and attentive, and the food? Absolutely delicious. It’s premium Korean-style Chinese cuisine done right — rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and full of character. Pair your meal with Chinese baijiu or Korean soju for an elevated dining experience. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for something unique and memorable in NYC!

I wish the Peking duck had crispy skin but the flavor itself was delicious. Really enjoyed the rice paper and other condiments too. Sweet and sour pork was a generous portion and a bit too sweet unfortunately. I also wasn’t a big fan of the consistency either
