Based on recent customer reviews available online, this introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the restaurant for local users considering their options for Chinese takeout.

Information regarding the environment of Number One Express Chinese Restaurant is limited in the provided customer reviews. One review mentions that some of the kitchens are visible upon walking in and describes them as "appalling, unsanitary and a disgraceful." This raises significant concerns about the hygiene and cleanliness of the food preparation areas as perceived by at least one customer. Beyond this concerning observation, there are no other details provided about the ambiance or overall atmosphere of the restaurant's interior.

The primary service offered by Number One Express Chinese Restaurant, based on the available reviews, appears to be takeout. Customers have described placing orders for pickup. There is no explicit mention of dine-in or delivery services in the provided feedback, suggesting that the restaurant primarily caters to customers looking to collect their orders to eat elsewhere. The offer to "re-make your dish" mentioned in one review implies a focus on addressing immediate customer dissatisfaction with their takeout orders.

Based on the recent customer reviews, a significant and alarming feature of Number One Express Chinese Restaurant is the serious concern raised about food safety and quality. One reviewer explicitly stated that they were "recovering from food poisoning" after ordering the Chicken Teriyaki Sticks. This is a severe accusation that should be carefully considered by potential customers. The same reviewer also mentioned that the restaurant had been "cited by the Board of Health a couple of years ago," indicating a past history of health and safety issues. This information, if accurate, further amplifies the concerns about the restaurant's standards.

In addition to the food poisoning report, another reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the taste and quality of their order, which included chicken and lo mein. They described the chicken as being in "small strips" with "not much chicken at all." Furthermore, they stated that "everything including the rice was tasteless with very little flavor" and "not at all satisfying." This feedback points to potential issues with the flavor profiles and ingredient proportions in some of the dishes offered by Number One Express.

The willingness of the restaurant to "re-make your dish," as mentioned in one review, could be seen as an attempt to address customer complaints. However, the reviewer questioned why a dish would need to be remade if it had been prepared correctly with fresh ingredients in the first place, highlighting a fundamental concern about the initial quality of the food preparation.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Number One Express Chinese Restaurant based on the provided customer reviews. The feedback focuses solely on the customers' negative experiences with food safety, taste, and perceived unsanitary conditions. Therefore, local users interested in learning about any promotions would need to contact the restaurant directly at the provided phone numbers.

For local users in Warrensville Heights, OH, who are considering Number One Express Chinese Restaurant for their takeout needs, it is crucial to be aware of the serious concerns raised in the recent reviews. The report of food poisoning and the mention of past health violations by the Board of Health are significant red flags regarding food safety. Additionally, the complaint about tasteless food and the poor quality of the chicken and lo mein indicate potential issues with the culinary standards of the restaurant.

The observation of "appalling, unsanitary" kitchen conditions visible to customers further exacerbates these concerns. Potential customers should weigh these negative reports heavily when making their decision about where to order Chinese food. Given the severity of the issues raised, it would be prudent to exercise extreme caution and perhaps consider alternative Chinese restaurants in the Warrensville Heights area that have more positive and reassuring recent feedback regarding food safety and quality.

In conclusion, Number One Express Chinese Restaurant in Warrensville Heights, OH, has received recent and serious negative feedback concerning food safety, taste, and sanitary conditions. The report of food poisoning and past health violations are particularly alarming. Additionally, customers have described the food as tasteless and the kitchen conditions as unsanitary. I am unhappy to share that I am recovering from food poisoning. I ordered the chicken teriaki sticks late Thursday evening. I thought I would give this place another chance since they changed management. What a bad decision since they were once cited by the Board of Health a couple of years ago. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Between regurgitating (throwing up) and diarrhea, I am never going back there or some of these other Chinese restaurants. Some of the kitchens are visible upon walking in and it's appalling, unsanitary and a disgraceful, yet they take your money without hesitation, only offering to re-make your dish. Why would someone want you to re-make a dish when you should have prepared it with fresh ingredients the first time. Stay clear of this place.

We got chicken and lo mein. The chicken was in small strips, not much chicken at all. Everything including the rice was tasteless with very little flavor. Not at all satisfying.

The food used to be consistently delicious it is now just average... location is easy to get to.. best dish I've had is the shrimp fried rice the shrimp fried egg rolls are pretty good as well. My issue with this restaurant are the hours they seem to change weekly and they don't open till midweek. Strictly a takeout.

I ordered two fried rices alongside a small container of sweet and sour chicken and a medium beef lo mein noodles. My appetite was completely ruined upon taking the first bites of the beef lo mein. The beef inside was undercooked and smelled horrendous, and the fried rice was dry and flavorless. The sweet and sour chicken was barely chicken- more like doughy cooking batter. Soft, squishy and undercooked inside yet overcooked on the outside. I would not recommend anymore.
