About Number 1 Chop Suey

Welcome to Number 1 Chop Suey, located at 15833 Central Ave, Oak Forest, IL 60452, USA. As a Chinese restaurant, Number 1 Chop Suey offers a menu of familiar Chinese-American dishes. However, recent customer reviews indicate some concerns regarding the quality and accuracy of orders.

Based on the limited review information, it's difficult to describe the environment of Number 1 Chop Suey. As a typical Chinese restaurant, it likely offers a casual dining area, though the focus seems to be on takeaway service based on the lunch special mentioned.

Services at Number 1 Chop Suey include dine-in and takeaway. Customers can place orders by calling (708) 687-8598 or mobile phone +1 708-687-8598. Delivery services may also be available, and it is recommended to inquire directly with the restaurant about their delivery options and service area.

Features of Number 1 Chop Suey include a standard menu of Chinese-American cuisine. One customer reviewed the "fried shrimp lunch special," which included three fried shrimp, chicken fried rice, an egg roll, and barbecued pork pieces in a sauce. The reviewer found the fried rice and shrimp to be "decent" but not special, while the egg roll was described as "horrible." The inclusion of pork in the egg roll was unexpected and unappetizing to this customer, and the sauce from the pork affected the rice negatively. Another customer who placed a larger order reported receiving spring rolls instead of egg rolls and a large lo mein that was only two-thirds full. This customer also mentioned that the restaurant is under new management, which they speculate might be the cause of the recent issues.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided data. For local users in US with connections to Oak Forest, Illinois, Number 1 Chop Suey is a Chinese restaurant offering a range of dishes. However, it is important to consider the recent negative customer feedback regarding food quality, order accuracy (receiving spring rolls instead of egg rolls, incomplete orders), and value for money before deciding to order. Both reviewers indicated they would not return, with one explicitly suggesting trying other Chinese restaurants in the area. It may be prudent to consider these recent experiences. You can reach Number 1 Chop Suey at (708) 687-8598 or +1 708-687-8598 for more information or to place an order, keeping the recent feedback in mind.

Order the fried shrimp lunch special. Consisted of three fried shrimp, chicken fried rice, an egg roll, and for some reason barbecued pork pieces in a sauce. The fried rice and the shrimp we're decent nothing special. The egg roll was horrible. I have no idea why it had pork with it but it did not look appetizing and the sauce kind of ruined some of the rice. Really wish they didn't put it in there. I would not go back way better food around. Especially since it was 12 bucks for the lunch special.

My family ordered over $70 worth of food which I thought was high for a family of 4 but if it's good that's OK. The problem was instead of egg rolls we got spring rolls and my 18$ large lo mein was only 2/3's full. I see they are under new management so maybe that's the issue . We never had had a problem there before. I suggest going to a different place for Chinese. There are plenty around . I for one will never be going back. they told my wife when she called that they don't have spring rolls, but if you look at the picture they are clearly spring rolls.egg rolls are not smooth .

A shell of its former self, I wish I'd read reviews before calling the stored number in my phone. The new owners have changed many recipes, and not for the better. After being a frequent customer since the late 90's we moved out of the area a couple years ago. Ordered yesterday and it was so disappointing, everything was bland. The lomein noodles are even wrong now. We will never be back, recommend going elsewhere.

The food here is not bad at all, but I have had issues with service the past 2 times I’ve been here. Once was an issue with the staff arguing loudly enough that it made me uncomfortable and another time was a miscommunication about vegetable egg rolls that took more explaining and more time than it should have to get them exchanged. I ordered at 11:13am and it took until 12:47pm to resolve the issue including being questioned in a way that I did not like at all. So I just can’t get order here anymore

Ordered a pretty big order. The phone conversation went smooth to get the dishes placed. Seemed like all the items that ordered that were deep fried were over cooked (sweet sour chicken, egg rolls). We got the beef and tomato and the beef and broccoli and those were perfect. The bill came out higher than expected.
