Based on the enthusiastic reviews from local customers, Number 1 Chinese Restaurant appears to excel in several key areas. One reviewer specifically mentioned it as their "favorite Chinese restaurant in the whole city of Louisville," highlighting the high regard in which it is held by at least one regular patron. This positive sentiment suggests a consistent delivery of quality food and service that resonates with the local community.

The food at Number 1 Chinese Restaurant is consistently described as "great" and "delicious," with a "wide selection" available on the menu. This indicates that customers can expect a variety of options to choose from, likely encompassing classic Chinese dishes and perhaps some house specialties. The reviewer also notes that orders are "always done right" and that they "never mess up the bag," pointing to a commendable level of accuracy and attention to detail in their order preparation, whether for dine-in or take-out.

A significant positive aspect highlighted in the review is that the food is "always super hot and never cold," suggesting that the restaurant pays close attention to maintaining the appropriate temperature for their dishes, ensuring a fresh and enjoyable eating experience for their customers, regardless of whether they choose to eat at the restaurant or take their food to go.

Number 1 Chinese Restaurant offers both "eat in" and "take out" services, providing flexibility for customers who prefer to dine at the location or enjoy their meals in the comfort of their own homes. The reviewer also mentions "fast service" and "accurate orders" as key attributes of the establishment, which are crucial for a positive customer experience, especially for those looking for a quick and reliable meal option.

The environment of Number 1 Chinese Restaurant seems to be spacious, as indicated by the mention of "lots of space indoors." One specific dish mentioned by the reviewer is the "bourbon chicken," which they "usually order," implying it is a popular and well-regarded item on the menu. However, they did note one instance where the "Chicken lo mein" was not to their expectation, suggesting that while the majority of the food is excellent, there might be occasional variations in specific dishes.

Interestingly, the reviewer mentioned that they haven't tried the wings because they prefer them sauced with BBQ sauce, which Number 1 Chinese Restaurant apparently does not offer. This piece of information, while specific, gives a glimpse into the menu's potential limitations in terms of sauce options for certain items.

Overall, the reviewer gives Number 1 Chinese Restaurant a glowing "ten star establishment" rating and "highly recommend" it. Usually I order the bourbon chicken. And many other delicious items on the menu. But, one time I ordered the Chicken lo mein and it wasn't what I expected. Other than that? Their food is delicious. Healthy portions. Haven't tried their wings, because I like mine to be sauced with BBQ sauce. And unfortunately? They don't offer that. Ten star establishment. Fast service. Accurate orders. Plenty of parking. Lots of space indoors. Highly recommend.

This has been our favorite chinese restaurant for many years. They hace the BEST crab rangoon around! However, recently we have been getting served the wrong food. Which is extremely annoying. My husband has an allergy to some meats, so when we order one thing and get a different meat in our order, that is both concerning, & frustrating. I greatly hope that this stops and never happens again. But with this being the second time In a row that it has happened to us, my expectations of this actually being fixed isn't high.

Been getting take out from here for awhile and always pleased with our order. Hot and fresh with plenty of food. Not sure why the poor reviews. Tried sweet and sour chicken for the first time here and it was good. There was mostly meat rather than breading so that was a positive. General Tso Chicken was good as usual. I would like to see vegetables in both the entrees and pineapple in the sweet and sour but that is a personal preference. I have never eaten in but it looks like maybe they have updated the interior a bit?

The food is usually fine, & the service is good, but the left picture (from the restaurant) is not chow mein, & it’s really weird. The picture on the right (from google) is chow mein. Be careful what you order.
