North Garden

I have been visiting this restaurant since I was a kid and it has always been my favourite Chinese restaurant. The new owner is doing a great job and the food is delicious. I really like the Gwin Jin, the pan fried noodles. The his time got the Crispy Chicken with vegetables really tasty. The General Tsos is really good too and fried rice is great tons of tender pork. Nice cup of tea is great with lunch as well.

Just went there for the first time yesterday and ordered from the lunch menu. This kind of inexpensive stuff at an average Chinese restaurant is usually pretty overcooked and bland but this was DELICIOUS! Crisp, fresh, and very tasty. Took half of it home and just had it for lunch again. Yum! I don't live in the area but I travel there frequently and this will be my go-to lunch place in the future.

OUTSTANDING! North Garden has always been my go-to for consistently good Chinese food and I was beyond devastated when I learned Raymond had retired. The new owner has brought the food from good to FANTASTIC! It is fresh and delicious-and the new owner has made much needed upgrades to the dining room! They are very accommodating and will modify dishes to suit what you want. Go rediscover this hidden gem!!!

This was my favorite chinese restaurant for the past 15 years. The Hunan chicken was out of this world, and then everything changed. It was sold to someone else and they didn’t keep the same recipes. I tried it twice just in case it was a fluke, it’s absolutely terrible. I tried ordering other meals, and it’s just all around bad. The North garden that I knew, is no more. RIP North Garden.

My new 'go-to' Chinese spot. Didn't even know it existed, as you can't even see it from Riverdale. Its tucked behind Cals on Myron street. Glad I found it, as its considerably better than the other 2 Chinese restaurants I've tried in Westside. Both in quality and quantity. The owner Norman is a really nice guy, and we chatted about running on my first visit. I have since gotten take-out multiple times, and brought my Dad for a dine-in, and he was happy with it as well. Great service, and its nice and quiet in there. Highly recommended. I have two Chinese spots within walking distance from my place, but I'd rather drive here.
