About Nom Wah Philadelphia
Nom Wah Philadelphia is a Chinese restaurant located at 218 N 13th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA, specializing in dim sum. They can be contacted at (267) 519-2889 or +1 267-519-2889.
One customer found the dim sum to be "good," though "I wouldn’t say this was the best...I’ve ever had." They noted that "Pricing on everything was also reasonable" and that "Every staff member we encountered were very nice and service was very quick." A significant feature they highlighted was that "they have a decent amount of vegetarian options which can be hard to find at dim sum restaurants." They found that "Everything did have flavor (the noodles were a little bland but great quantity)." Their favorite dish was "probably...the shrimp and chive dumpling," while their least favorite was "the fried shrimp ball" due to its "spongy consistency that was strange to me," though it was still "flavorful." They also enjoyed the "really yummy dumpling sauce" and the "delicious" chili oil available on the table.
Another reviewer found the "Food was very delicious and flavorful," with a specific suggestion regarding the "salt and pepper shrimp," recommending it "should be peeled before battered/fried to get all the flavor from seasoning," though they acknowledged some people eat the shell. They concluded, "Everything was good and the servers were nice, although short in service."
Based on these reviews, Nom Wah Philadelphia offers good dim sum at reasonable prices with very nice and quick service. A notable feature is the availability of a decent selection of vegetarian options. Most dishes are flavorful, with the shrimp and chive dumpling being a standout. While some dishes, like the noodles (a little bland) and the fried shrimp ball (spongy texture), received less enthusiastic feedback, they were still generally flavorful. The restaurant provides a yummy dumpling sauce and delicious chili oil. One suggestion for improvement was regarding the preparation of the salt and pepper shrimp. The servers are nice but may be perceived as "short in service." Local users looking for a dim sum restaurant with good food, reasonable prices, vegetarian options, and quick service should consider Nom Wah Philadelphia.
The environment is implied to be conducive to a quick and pleasant dining experience with nice staff. Services include dine-in with very quick service. Key features are the good dim sum, reasonable pricing, a decent amount of vegetarian options, flavorful food (with some exceptions), and delicious sauces. Potential drawbacks include noodles being a little bland, a spongy fried shrimp ball, and servers being "short in service." No specific promotional information is available in the provided text.

I wouldn’t say this was the best dim sum I’ve ever had but it was good. Pricing on everything was also reasonable. Every staff member we encountered were very nice and service was very quick. One thing I will note is that they have a decent amount of vegetarian options which can be hard to find at dim sum restaurants. Everything did have flavor (the noodles were a little bland but great quantity). If I had to choose my favorite, it probably would be the shrimp and chive dumpling. My least favorite was the fried shrimp ball. It had a spongy consistency that was strange to me but again, it still was flavorful. They have a really yummy dumpling sauce and the chili oil that sits on the table was delicious as well.
Food was very delicious and flavorful, my only thing is that salt and pepper shrimp should be peeled before battered/fried to get all the flavor from seasoning. I know some people like to eat the shell, but I think people should be given a choice between shell and shell-less. Everything was good and the servers were nice, although short in service.
Best dim sum of my life, incredible flavor. One of the best meals we had in Philly. I tried to get pictures of the food but I forgot each time and only got empty plates.
I was craving steamed rice rolls and heard this place was famous for it. Everything was delish and reasonably priced. I loved loved loved the turnip cake, the steamed rice roll with fried dough and the chicken soup dumplings. I WILL be returning to try other things on the menu and of course turnips cakes. I cannot wait to return !
Came because we saw the good ratings for this place, there was quite a line for when we arrived and as we were getting seated, the table we were going to be sitting at was dirty and they only did a quick wipe down with a rag. My girlfriend luckily had sanitary wipes with her and she wiped down the table. As I was going sit, I found soy sauce on my seat. Food came out quick after we ordered and was good
