Everyone is so friendly and the food is super tasty. I ordered the chicken soup dumpling (so juicy) and the Fried Noodle with Chicken. The price is equal to quality, I saw a lot of people commenting about how expensive it is but you are eating a delicious food at Pier 57 with a view to Little Island, what do you expect?! Plus the food is very well served, you’ll be full and satisfied.
I usually opt for the chicken noodles and I love them. The quality is good for $14 and given the fact that you’re in NYC. The wait does tend to be around 20 min during peak lunch hour though.
Pretty damn good food. Very tasty and had a larger portion than expected. Will def have this place again the next time I am there. Beautiful space too.
Ordered the scallion pancake, pork & shrimp dumplings, and char siu roast pork buns. The order took a little while to come out and waited around 15-20 minutes. The dumplings were good, as well as the scallion pancakes. The pork buns came in the foldable bun you would typically expect when eating duck bao. I was expecting the traditional way that had the pork completely inside a fluffy steamed bun. Nonetheless, the pork flavor was still good.
I stopped by Pier 57 this past weekend to grab a few bites to eat. My first stop was Nom Wah to get the shrimp and pork soup dumplings. The dumplings were good and had some flavor, but the pork soup ones lacked actual "soup" since they looked slightly ripped open, and they seemed a bit mushy. The prices are a tad high, in my opinion, and the wait time to get the food is quite long as well, about a little over 10 minutes. The workers keep the area very clean, and there is plenty of seating available inside and outside. In spite of the quality of the dumplings, the prices, and the wait time, I would give this place another shot and try something else from their menu.
