About No. 1

Welcome to No. 1, a Chinese restaurant located at 7 W Tremont Ave in Bronx, New York. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, No. 1 aims to provide Chinese cuisine to the local community. However, the recent customer reviews available online paint a severely negative picture regarding the service, order accuracy, and food quality at this establishment.

No. 1 Chinese Restaurant can be contacted at (718) 294-5294 or via their mobile phone at +1 718-294-5294. These contact numbers would typically be used for placing orders or making inquiries. The restaurant's location on West Tremont Avenue in the Bronx suggests accessibility for residents and those in the surrounding area.

The customer feedback for No. 1 Chinese Restaurant is overwhelmingly negative based on the provided reviews, with multiple serious concerns raised. One reviewer expressed that they would give a negative star rating if possible, detailing a frustrating experience when placing an order. They alleged that the person answering the phone acted as if they could not hear the customer, rushed the call before order details or the total cost could be confirmed, and required constant reminders to include sauce and utensils. This reviewer also claimed that their orders were frequently incorrect, with missing food items, leading to multiple trips for the delivery driver. This indicates significant issues with order taking and fulfillment.

Another highly critical review described a substantial order totaling nearly $50, which included large shrimp with broccoli (ordered twice), half of a chicken with tostones, shrimp lo mein, and small house special fried rice. This customer reported receiving only six pieces of shrimp with one of the broccoli dishes and felt that the restaurant added items not ordered. This suggests a lack of attention to detail and accuracy in preparing orders. More alarmingly, this reviewer stated that both they and their son experienced food poisoning after consuming food from No. 1. When they contacted the restaurant to report this, the person they spoke with allegedly denied that the order was placed there, even though the customer claimed to have been ordering from No. 1 for approximately six years. The restaurant purportedly offered no credit or apology, leading this customer to vow never to order again and to delete the contact information.

A third review echoed the extreme dissatisfaction, labeling the food as "the worst Chinese food I've ever had." This customer ordered mushrooms and beef but described the dish as "swimming in the sauce" and tasting like "disgusting... chicken noodle soup" with "no flavor." They deemed it a complete waste of money and strongly advised others against ordering from No. 1, recommending a different local Chinese restaurant as a far superior alternative. This reviewer also mentioned the "ratchet" attitude of the person who took their order, suggesting a correlation between poor service and the quality of the food. They concluded with emphatic warnings against ordering from this establishment.

Given the severe negativity in all three reviews, it is impossible to ascertain any positive features or aspects of No. 1 Chinese Restaurant from this information. The feedback consistently points to significant problems with customer service, order accuracy, food quality, and alarmingly, food safety.

There is no information provided about the environment or ambiance of No. 1 Chinese Restaurant. The reviews focus entirely on the negative aspects of the service and food, without any mention of the dining area or overall atmosphere. Therefore, it is not possible to offer any objective description of the restaurant's interior or cleanliness based on the available data.

The services offered by No. 1 Chinese Restaurant appear to primarily include takeout and delivery, as indicated by the reviews detailing order placement over the phone and the mention of a delivery driver. However, the quality of these services is heavily criticized, with complaints about rude phone etiquette, frequent order errors, and missing items. There is no information available about dine-in options.

In terms of features, based on the overwhelmingly negative feedback, it is challenging to identify any positive attributes. The recurring themes in the reviews highlight significant negative features, including rude and unhelpful phone service, frequent mistakes in orders, missing food items, poor food quality (e.g., tasteless food, excessive sauce), and a serious allegation of food poisoning. These issues suggest a systemic problem with the restaurant's operations and the quality of its offerings.

There is no promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews. Customers are sharing their negative experiences, and no discounts, special offers, or promotions are discussed.

For local users in the Bronx, NY, considering No. 1 Chinese Restaurant, it is crucial to take into account the extremely negative experiences reported in these recent customer reviews. The serious allegations of rude service, frequent order errors, poor food quality, and food poisoning should be a significant deterrent. The strong recommendations to avoid this establishment and to choose alternative local Chinese restaurants further underscore the severity of the issues reported. Given the consistent and severe criticism across multiple reviews, it would be prudent to exercise extreme caution and likely avoid ordering from No. 1 Chinese Restaurant.

In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for No. 1 Chinese Restaurant in the Bronx, NY, paint a dire picture of the establishment. Allegations of rude service, inaccurate orders, poor food quality, and a serious report of food poisoning indicate significant problems. Local users seeking a reliable and enjoyable Chinese dining experience are strongly advised to consider alternative options based on the overwhelmingly negative feedback available.

If there was a chance to put -o stars I would… When you order your food the lady that answers the phone first of all acts like she can not hear you on the phone and rush you off the phone before you can find out how much it is or if you want to add something else Also, you have to keep reminding them add sauce and utensil. Always messing our order and missing food feel sorry for the delivery guy That always have to come back I order large shrimp with broccoli, half of chicken with tostones, shrimp lo mein, large shrimp with broccoli, small house special fried rice nothing special about it adding every of their mother i spend almost 50 dollar as you can see a mother plate of Broccoli and 6 pieces shrimp and they add on what they want. It’s sad that people pay all this money for their food but don’t get what they ask for they send what they want never ordering from there again and in top of that my son and i got food poison. I call her to tell her but she had the audacity to call me back and said I didn't order from there like really been ordering from there almost 6 years, she didn't even offer a credit not again. This is the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I asked for mushrooms and beef. It's swimming in the sauce. I got so much sauce. It looks like soup chicken noodle soup is disgusting. It has no flavor. It was a waste of money. If I were you, I would not take the risk in order from this place. China Star on Jerome is way better more flavor and they follow instructions. Complete waste of money. I'm glad I didn't spend a lot the worst. The worst the worst. If I can give him zero I would. And the attitude of the lady who took my order was ratchet so no wonder the food tastes terrible.... DON'T DOIT TRUST ME!!!!

The food is very good. One time, the chicken seemed old and refried. The service is good. The people are friendly. The waiting area is clean but looks really old and worn.
