About NO.1 NEW CHINA

NO.1 NEW CHINA, located at 2 Dunlop Village in Colonial Heights, Virginia (VA 23834, USA), serves the local community as a Chinese restaurant offering a range of dishes within the Chinese Restaurant category. They can be contacted at (804) 520-8381 or +1 804-520-8381 for inquiries or to place an order.

Recent customer feedback for NO.1 NEW CHINA presents a stark contrast in experiences, highlighting both positive and significantly negative aspects that local users should consider. One long-term customer, claiming to have been a patron for approximately two years, offers a glowing review. They express intrigue at certain negative reviews, suggesting their own experiences have been consistently positive. This reviewer states that large orders have always been accurate, the food is consistently fresh, and the employees are always polite and professional. They go so far as to declare NO.1 NEW CHINA the best Chinese restaurant in the local area, especially when considering the pricing. They recommend adding Chicken and Broccoli, Shrimp Lo Mein, and Eggrolls to a list of 'Recommended Dish Choices,' implying these are particularly good. Their overall sentiment is highly positive, praising the restaurant for doing "great things for the community."

In stark opposition to this positive account, another customer shared a very negative experience. This reviewer claimed that the food they received was old across the board, including the pepper steak, wings, and even the fortune cookie, which they described as old and stale. They detailed the pepper steak as having only five pieces of meat, with the remainder being onions and green peppers. They also described the broccoli as "mushy," indicating it was overcooked. This dissatisfied customer reported spending $42, with a friend spending an additional $23, and felt it was a "total rip off." They also mentioned calling the restaurant to resolve the issue, but were allegedly only offered more of the same food, which they found unacceptable, believing the restaurant needed to "own selling old over cooked recooked food." The reviewer explicitly stated they would "never visit this establishment again" and questioned the unusual yellow color inside the wings.

Given these strongly contrasting reviews, it is difficult to provide a definitive description of the environment, services, and features of NO.1 NEW CHINA that would be universally accurate. One customer's positive experience suggests a well-run establishment with fresh food and polite service, while the other's negative experience paints a picture of poor food quality and unsatisfactory customer service in resolving complaints.

Regarding the environment, neither review provides any specific details about the restaurant's ambiance, cleanliness, or dรฉcor. Therefore, local users will need to rely on other sources or their own observations if they choose to visit the location to get a sense of the dining space, if dine-in is available, or the general upkeep of the premises for takeout orders.

In terms of services, the positive review highlights polite and professional employees, as well as accurate large order fulfillment. The negative review, however, suggests a lack of willingness to address complaints about food quality to the customer's satisfaction, indicating a potential inconsistency in customer service. The speed of service and the availability of takeout or delivery options are not explicitly mentioned in either review.

As for features, the positive review recommends Chicken and Broccoli, Shrimp Lo Mein, and Eggrolls as particularly good dishes, suggesting these might be specialties or popular choices. The negative review specifically criticizes the pepper steak for its low meat content and the poor quality of the wings and broccoli. This discrepancy indicates a potential variability in the quality of different menu items or inconsistencies in food preparation.

Neither of the provided reviews mentions any specific promotional information for NO.1 NEW CHINA. Local users interested in potential discounts, lunch specials, or other offers should contact the restaurant directly to inquire about any current promotions they might be running. It is common for Chinese restaurants to have such offers, but there is no evidence of them in the available feedback.

In conclusion, NO.1 NEW CHINA in Colonial Heights, VA, presents a complex picture based on the limited recent customer reviews. While one long-term patron praises the restaurant for its fresh food, polite service, accurate orders, and good pricing, another customer reports a severely negative experience with old, poorly prepared food and unsatisfactory attempts at resolution. This significant divergence in feedback suggests a potential inconsistency in the restaurant's quality control or customer service. Local users considering NO.1 NEW CHINA should be aware of these contrasting experiences. Those who have had positive experiences may find it to be a good option, while others might be hesitant based on the negative report. It may be prudent to try a smaller order initially or inquire about the freshness of specific dishes before placing a large order. Further research or more recent reviews from other sources might provide a clearer overall picture of the current state of NO.1 NEW CHINA.

Certain negative reviews of this establishment are interesting, to say the least ๐Ÿง. Been going here for about 2-years now. Large orders have always been correct, food is always fresh, and most importantly the employees are always polite and professional. Honestly, best Chinese restaurant in the local area, especially considering pricing. Keep doing great things for the community. Chicken and Broccoli, Shrimp Lo Mein, and Eggrolls should be added to the 'Recommended Dish Choices' as defined below, for obvious reasons๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ...Great Stuff.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ - Gray Chillin

Food was old. All of it. Pepper steak only have 5 pieces of meat the rest onion and green peppers. Wings were old also. Even the fortune cookie was old and stale. I called to get it resolved but he only wanted to give me more of the same food. When he needs to own selling old over cooked recooked food. Mushy broccoli is crazy to me. I spent $42 and my friend spent 23. I would never visit this establishment again. A total rip off. And why are those wings yellow inside ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿค”.

I ordered beef with snow peas. It was less than stellar. Pretty flavorless even after adding two packages of soy sauce. I used to enjoy their food. However, the last few times I've ordered from there it's been kind of subpar.
