About No. 1 Kitchen West end!

Welcome to No. 1 Kitchen West end!, your local Chinese restaurant situated at 1669 Washington Ave in Huntington, West Virginia. As a go-to spot for many in the area seeking delicious Chinese takeout, No. 1 Kitchen West end! has garnered positive feedback for its tasty food, generous portions, and commitment to freshness. If you're a resident of Huntington looking for a reliable Chinese takeout option, this establishment comes highly recommended by your neighbors.

Regarding the environment of No. 1 Kitchen West end!, customer reviews indicate that the interior of the building might not be the most aesthetically pleasing. However, this seems to be a minor concern for many, as the restaurant is primarily utilized for takeout orders. One reviewer explicitly mentioned, "The inside of the building doesn't look the nicest, but we just do pick up, and it's fine." This suggests that while the ambiance for dine-in might be lacking, it does not deter customers who prioritize the quality and convenience of their takeout service.

The primary service offered by No. 1 Kitchen West end! appears to be takeout. Customers can place orders by calling (304) 781-0655 or +1 304-781-0655 and then pick up their food. While delivery service from this specific location on Washington Ave is not explicitly mentioned, one reviewer noted that the other location on Route 60 might not deliver to their area, implying that delivery options might be limited or non-existent for some locations. The focus seems to be on providing efficient and reliable takeout service for the local community.

No. 1 Kitchen West end! boasts several features that contribute to its popularity. A significant highlight is the consistently fresh quality of their food. One enthusiastic customer stated, "This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant, mainly the food is always fresh and never has that slimy feel that Chinese food often gets when it's been sitting out a little longer than it should." This emphasis on freshness is a major draw for those who appreciate well-prepared Chinese cuisine.

Another positive feature is the generous portion sizes offered by No. 1 Kitchen West end!. Customers have noted that the portions are "nice size" and that the "ratio of entree to rice is good," unlike some other establishments that might provide an excessive amount of rice compared to the main dish. This suggests that customers feel they receive good value for their money in terms of the quantity of food.

Specific dishes at No. 1 Kitchen West end! have received high praise. The Honey Chicken was described as "very good," and the Beef and Broccoli also garnered positive feedback. These mentions indicate that their classic American-Chinese dishes are well-prepared and flavorful. The egg rolls were noted as "pretty good," although they were also mentioned to be "on the smaller side." This provides a balanced perspective on their appetizer offerings.

However, not all dishes received universal acclaim. One reviewer expressed disappointment with the Crab Rangoons, stating that they "tasted only of cream cheese" with no discernible crab flavor. As this customer does not care for cream cheese, the Crab Rangoons were not a positive experience for them. This suggests that while many dishes are well-received, there might be some inconsistencies or variations in the preparation of certain items.

A crucial piece of information for potential customers is that No. 1 Kitchen West end! is closed on Tuesdays. This was highlighted by a very enthusiastic reviewer who lamented this closure due to their strong cravings for sesame chicken and fried rice on that particular day. This indicates that the restaurant has a loyal following whose dining plans are affected by this weekly closure.

Currently, there is no promotional information explicitly mentioned in the provided customer reviews. Local Chinese restaurants often have lunch specials, combination deals, or other promotions to attract customers. To learn about any current specials or discounts offered by No. 1 Kitchen West end!, it would be best to contact them directly at their phone number: (304) 781-0655 or +1 304-781-0655. While the interior might not be the most appealing for dine-in, it serves its purpose for efficient takeout service. The restaurant is a go-to choice for many in the area, despite being closed on Tuesdays. While most of the food receives positive feedback, the Crab Rangoons were a point of dissatisfaction for one reviewer. The food is pretty good. Nice size portions. The ratio of entree to rice is good. It's not 75% rice like some other places I've had. The Honey Chicken was very good. The beef and broccoli was also very good. The egg rolls are pretty good, but on the smaller side. The Crab Rangoons tasted only of cream cheese. I really didn't taste any crab, and I don't care for cream cheese, so these were not a hit. The inside of the building doesn't look the nicest, but we just do pick up, and it's fine. Overall, we really like this place and is our go-to for local Chinese takeout.

This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant, mainly the food is always fresh and never has that slimy feel that Chinese food often gets when it's been sitting out a little longer than it should. I only have one complaint: WHYOHWHYOHWHY do they have to be closed on Tuesdays, when I have an insatiable craving for sesame chicken and fried rice?!?!?! I'm so sad, and so HUNGRY!!!! I would go to the other location on route 60, but I don't think they deliver to where I live, and even though I love 'em, I lack transportation and that would be a pretty long wok (see what I did there?) for me.

Went down hill fast since Covid….. no longer allows you to eat indoors and cancels online orders just because they don’t want to deliver.. also very rude but that’s not new as that was an issue before covid. I use to eat here almost weekly until I couldn’t eat indoors and was tired of their attitudes… Won’t be returning after my most recent interaction… They will cancel orders…. Because they’re too lazy to prepare and delivery it…

Food is great but the management is wildly unhinged. Yelling at customers over the phone and accusing them of not having money because they don't want to do delivery for larger orders. Highly inappropriate and unprofessional

We've ordered here several times. Great food, great service! Delivery was fast! General Tso's Chicken and Crab Ragoons are delicious!
