This experience, while concerning, represents one individual's account. It is crucial to acknowledge this feedback as a point of consideration for potential customers.

Conversely, another customer shares a more positive experience, stating they "love this place" and find the stir-fries and steamed dumplings to be "cooked to perfection" at times. This reviewer also mentions inconsistencies, noting that the steamed dumplings can occasionally be undercooked and that the pork lo mein has been bland on one occasion. However, they also praise the french fries and chicken as being "off the chain," indicating a potential strength in certain non-traditional Chinese items on the menu.

Based on the available information, No. 1 Kitchen offers a range of Chinese dishes with both dine-in and takeout services. Customer experiences appear to be varied, with some praising the quality of certain dishes while others have reported significant issues with food quality and customer service. I was reading the reviews. Unfortunately, it was after I ate there and ended up in the hospital with food poisoning. IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH DON'T EAT HERE! I ordered twice-cooked pork, cold sesame noodles, and cheese wontons. I have been eating Twice Cooked Pork, literally my entire life. I have NEVER seen it made with tofu. When I called and complained about it, they told me that's how it's made. I call bullsh*t. Not only was it made wrong but it made me nauseous while I was eating it so I threw it out, along with the cheese wantons and the cold sesame noodles. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. I will never eat here again. The hospital stay was aggravating, at best. I was at the hospital for 5 hours yesterday. Missed an entire day of work and was docked pay. The Hospital said "Food Poisoning." Thank you #1 Kitchen on Kecoughton in Hampton... by the Food Lion.

My experience with the food was horrible...I ended up throwing most of the food away. I don't like to waste but I was afraid of getting sick. The Orange Chicken sauce was tasteless and consistency like a thick glue. The rice ...was supposed to be a pork fried yellow rice. Old, dry and again...didn't see any other ingredients noted in description. I can't go on...wasted $16. I will say the humans in the establishment were helpful and courteous but will not return...
