Customer reviews offer a glimpse into the experiences of those who have patronized No 1 Kitchen. One long-time customer expressed overwhelmingly positive feedback, stating, "Always wonderful!" This reviewer had been a frequent visitor for many years, even after moving away from Rock Hill, and makes it a point to visit when passing through. They specifically praised the bourbon chicken as their favorite but noted that they have "never had anything that wasn't great." This positive review also highlighted the freshness of the food, the speed of preparation, and the accuracy of order completion.

In contrast, another customer reported a significantly negative experience. They described their meal, consisting of General Tso's chicken, white rice, and sweet tea, as "probably the worst" or "certainly one of the worst" Chinese restaurant experiences they've had. They found the texture of the General Tso's chicken to be "weird" and "slimy," and the sweet tea had a "hint of dish soap taste." Furthermore, this reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the price, feeling that $14 did not justify the quantity or quality of the food, labeling it as "expensive low grade chinese food."

These contrasting reviews illustrate the subjective nature of dining experiences. While one customer has consistently enjoyed the food and service at No 1 Kitchen over many years, another had a very unfavorable experience with specific dishes and perceived value. It is important for potential customers to consider both perspectives when evaluating No 1 Kitchen.

The positive review emphasizes the potential for No 1 Kitchen to provide delicious, fresh food with efficient and accurate service, at least for some customers and certain dishes like the bourbon chicken. The negative review raises concerns about the quality of specific dishes, such as the General Tso's chicken and sweet tea, as well as the perceived value for money. These are important points for the restaurant to consider and for new customers to be aware of.

Always wonderful! I've been a patron of this restaurant for many years. I used to live in Rock Hill and frequented the restaurant almost daily. Now that I've moved from Rock Hill I don't get to enjoy them as often, but I always visit when I'm passing through. My favorite is the bourbon chicken, but I've never had anything that wasn't great. Everything's always fresh and prepared quickly. My order has always been completed accurately too.

I've been to a lot of Chinese restaurants, buffets, take out, dine in, and this one was probably the worst. If not, certainly one of the worst. Ordered General Tso, white rice and a sweet tea. The Tso had a weird texture, kinda slimy. The tea had like a hint of dish soap taste to it. The part I'm most upset about is the price. For $14 i was expecting either a larger quantity or a better quality, but instead it's just expensive low grade chinese food.

I am not a big fan of this place because I don’t like their rice. My girls and I couldn’t agree on a Chinese restaurant. So I decided to try something different. I ordered bourbon chicken with mixed vegetables and requested extra snow peas. The guy said they don’t do snow peas. First thing I saw when I removed the lid was a snow pea 🧐. My daughter’s food was fully cooked. Unfortunately, she became ill. We won’t be returning.

I ordered the Kung pao chicken combo. It's lots of food for 10.50. The egg roll was really good and the entree was good. I love the thin sliced veggies. The rice was a bit under cooked for me. The door was propped open so it was really hot inside and the tables were not wiped down. Looked like most of their business was call in or carry out.

Tried it based on Google Reviews. It was pretty gross. I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken. Tasted like chemicals. The place itself is very worn down. Just raggedy. Which is usually a good sign, in a weird way LOL. The staff was very friendly though. I’ll give them that.
