About No 1 Chinese Restaurant

No 1 Chinese Restaurant is located at 141 Market Place Dr, North Augusta, SC 29860, USA. As a Chinese restaurant in the local area, it offers a variety of dishes for both dine-in and takeout customers. They can be contacted at (803) 278-6896 or +1 803-278-6896 for orders and inquiries.

Customer reviews for No 1 Chinese Restaurant present contrasting experiences, highlighting both positive and negative aspects of dining there. One reviewer had a highly positive experience, emphasizing the excellent service. They described the employees as "so kind and quick to serve you." This positive feedback suggests a focus on customer satisfaction and efficient service. Regarding the food, this reviewer stated that it was "really good" and listed a variety of dishes they enjoyed, including beef with broccoli, orange chicken, pork fried rice, steamed dumplings, egg rolls, wings, and crab rangoon. They specifically noted that everything was "hot and tasted great," indicating a satisfactory level of food quality and temperature for their order.

However, another customer who tried the restaurant for the first time, based on "many rave reviews," had a significantly different experience. This reviewer expressed disappointment, suggesting that the restaurant's quality may have declined over time, stating, "Apparently they may have been good in the past but not now." They ordered moo goo gai pan and almond chicken, and their feedback on these dishes was negative. The sauce for the almond chicken was described as "not good at all." Furthermore, they found the rice to be "extremely greasy and inedible," leading them and their dining companion to discard their entire meals. This negative experience led the reviewer to conclude they would instead travel to a different Chinese restaurant, Ming Ming, despite it being further away, implying a strong preference for the other establishment. The reviewer also mentioned that while the price was "decent," an egg roll was not included with their order, which may have contributed to their overall dissatisfaction.

Considering these two recent reviews, there is a clear divergence in customer experiences at No 1 Chinese Restaurant. One customer praised the excellent service and the deliciousness of a variety of standard Chinese-American dishes, while another found the quality of their specific orders (moo goo gai pan and almond chicken) to be very poor, particularly noting the inedible rice. This inconsistency suggests that the quality of different dishes or the overall standards might vary.

Information regarding the environment or ambiance of No 1 Chinese Restaurant is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. The positive reviewer focused on the service and food quality, while the negative reviewer did not comment on the physical space. Therefore, details about the restaurant's decor, cleanliness, or overall atmosphere are not available in the given information. Similarly, the reviews do not provide specific insights into whether the restaurant offers dine-in or is primarily focused on takeout, although both scenarios are possible for a Chinese restaurant.

The services offered appear to include both serving food that is "hot and tasted great" (according to the positive review) and processing takeout orders (as implied by the negative reviewer's experience). The mention of kind and quick service suggests a positive interaction with the staff for at least one customer. However, the lack of inclusion of an egg roll with a decent-priced order (according to the negative review) might be a point of consideration for potential customers regarding value or standard inclusions.

In terms of features, the menu seems to include a range of popular Chinese-American dishes, such as beef with broccoli, orange chicken, pork fried rice, steamed dumplings, egg rolls, wings, crab rangoon, moo goo gai pan, and almond chicken. The starkly different experiences with these dishes indicate that the quality and taste may not be consistently high across the entire menu. The positive reviewer's enjoyment of a wide variety of items suggests that some dishes are well-received, while the negative reviewer's strong aversion to their specific choices highlights potential inconsistencies.

No promotional information, such as special offers, lunch specials, or discounts, is mentioned in the provided reviews. To learn about any current promotions or to get a more comprehensive understanding of their full menu and services, it would be best to contact No 1 Chinese Restaurant directly at (803) 278-6896.

In conclusion, No 1 Chinese Restaurant in North Augusta, SC, has received mixed reviews from recent customers. While one patron praised the excellent service and the deliciousness of a variety of dishes, another reported a very negative experience with specific menu items and the quality of the rice. This inconsistency suggests that potential customers might have varying experiences depending on what they order. Local users may want to consider these contrasting opinions and perhaps try dishes that have received positive feedback. For the most up-to-date information on their menu, services, and any ongoing promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

First time trying this place based on the many rave reviews. Apparently they may have been good in the past but not now. We ordered moo goo gai pan and almond chicken. The sauce for the almond chicken was not good at all. The rice was extremely greasy and inedible. We both threw our plates in the trash. I'll make the trip to Ming Ming in the future even though it's a little further away. Although the price was decent, no egg roll was included.

I got the Sesame Chicken wing Combination, it came with yellow fried rice and egg roll. Let me tell you it was terrible. The chicken wings came soaking in some sort of red sauce the chicken wings and rice both has some sort of strange after taste, it’s almost like a fragrant taste. The egg roll was no better when I bit into it I pulled out something that had the texture of paper but was very tough. I have tried this restaurant several times and I have not found any of their dishes appealing.

Whatever you do don't order the beef here. It was so chewy and gross plus it smelled fishy. Luckily they took it back after I asked what kind of beef it was (couldn't answer me) and I got wings instead. I'm happy with this new plate. They were very friendly.

Egg roll is only cabbage. And the wings are good if you don’t get the breaded ones. Lo mein was kind of bland but still okay. Orange chicken wasn’t the best but for the price it was also okay. And fried rice is just yellow rice with peas and carrots and meat. It’s not real fried rice.
