About No.1 China
Welcome to No.1 China, a Chinese restaurant located at 764 W Williams St in Apex, North Carolina. Serving the Apex community, No.1 China can be contacted at (919) 362-6887 or via their mobile number +1 919-362-6887 for inquiries or to place an order. As a local Chinese restaurant, No.1 China primarily offers takeout services to its customers.
Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at No.1 China appear to be varied, with some concerns raised regarding food quality and preparation. One customer who ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice as part of a relatively inexpensive lunch special described the overall experience as "nothing special." They noted that while the chicken was "just ok," the fried rice was basic, containing only onions and scallions, and lacking common additions such as green peas, carrots, and egg. Furthermore, the dish included a very small portion of broccoli, leading the reviewer to speculate about the restaurant's clientele and their potential preference for fewer vegetables. This customer concluded that it would be their first and last visit, suggesting dissatisfaction with the value and quality relative to other available options.
More concerning is the feedback from another customer who reported receiving undercooked meat in their order, which cost $28. This individual expressed significant disappointment and stated that they almost vomited after consuming the uncooked food. Serving undercooked food is a serious issue concerning food safety and quality control, and this review raises significant red flags about the restaurant's preparation standards. This customer's experience highlights a potentially significant lapse in food handling and cooking procedures.
Considering these direct customer accounts, it is challenging to provide a positive overview of the environment, services, or features of No.1 China based solely on this information. The reviews do not offer insights into the restaurant's interior or the general ambiance, as both experiences seem to be based on takeout orders. The service aspect is only implicitly touched upon through the accuracy and quality of the food preparation, where the reported issues suggest potential shortcomings.
In terms of features, the mention of a "relatively cheap lunch special" indicates that No.1 China may offer budget-friendly options, which could be a draw for some customers. However, the negative feedback regarding the quality and ingredients of this special, as well as the serious concern about undercooked meat in a regular-priced order, overshadows any potential benefit of lower prices. The portion size of the lunch special was also described as "relatively small," which might be a consideration for customers looking for a more substantial meal, even at a lower cost.
Promotional information is not available in the provided text. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on any special offers or deals that No.1 China might be running.
In summary, the recent customer reviews for No.1 China in Apex, NC, present a concerning picture. While the restaurant may offer competitively priced lunch specials, the quality of the food, as described by one customer, appears to be basic and lacking in standard ingredients. More seriously, a separate review reported receiving and consuming undercooked meat, raising significant concerns about food safety and preparation practices. These issues suggest that potential customers should exercise caution and perhaps consider other Chinese restaurant options in the Apex area that have received more positive and consistent feedback regarding food quality and safety.
Given the limited and negative nature of the available reviews, it is difficult to recommend No.1 China based on this information alone. Local users seeking a reliable and enjoyable Chinese takeout experience in Apex might want to explore other establishments with more favorable and detailed reviews that highlight consistent food quality, proper cooking, and satisfactory value. It is always advisable to consider a range of opinions and possibly try a restaurant for oneself to form a complete picture, but the reported issues of undercooked food are significant and should be taken seriously.

You get what you pay for. Relatively cheap lunch special, but nothing special about it. I ordered sesame chicken with fried rice. Chicken is just ok. Fried rice had only onions and scallions, no green peas, no carrots, no egg. The dish had only 2 small pieces of broccoli. Portion is relatively small. I guess landscapers and construction workers (who are probably major clients of this restaurant) don’t like vegetables. This was my first and last visit to this Chinese restaurant. There are definitely much better options.
Went to this place and ordered food and this is what I got meat not completely cook and I was eating this and almost vomit. This is not ok to serve uncooked and I paid $28. So disappointed
No.1 China has been great for the decade I’ve been going there. Sure I’ve had a small issues here and there but nothing that specifically stands out. I don’t go there for the ambiance, I go there because the food is legit and the prices are reasonable. I actually schedule my grocery shopping at Harris Teeter next door around Mondays when this Chinese place is closed lol
I have been coming here for years and it's always wonderful. Picking up again tonight on valentine's day, which is a very busy night. I am very impressed with how hard the staff works, and are able to keep the orders straight as busy as they are!
This reminds me so much of the little hole-in-the-wall spots in NY. The food is always screamingly fresh and perfectly seasoned. Char siu pork and cabbage rolls stayed crunchy from Apex to Holly Springs and had the most sinfully delicious filling. It's the only place we go when we crave a good stirfry.
