About No. 1 China

Located at 505E N Main St in Greenville, South Carolina, No. 1 China is a Chinese restaurant that has garnered positive attention from local users. As a part of the Chinese restaurant category in the area, it stands out for its reportedly phenomenal food, generous portions, and commendable customer service. They can be contacted at (864) 235-4250 or their mobile number +1 864-235-4250 for orders or inquiries.

Based on recent customer reviews, the environment of No. 1 China is somewhat unique. One reviewer noted that at night, the location is "a little dark in a weird location," advising caution. This suggests that the physical setting might not be a traditional sit-down restaurant in a brightly lit or bustling area. Adding to this, another reviewer mentioned that they "serve through a window," indicating that the primary mode of service might be takeout via a designated window rather than a formal dining area. This unconventional setup seems to contribute to the restaurant's character and might be part of its appeal for those prioritizing быстрое and efficient service.

The services offered by No. 1 China appear to heavily emphasize takeout, given the mention of service through a window. However, this does not preclude the possibility of limited dine-in options, though the reviews do not explicitly detail this. The customer service, particularly in the context of takeout, has been highlighted positively. One reviewer recounted an instance where the "lady" working there thoughtfully stapled their box together to prevent spillage, describing her as a "generous kind human." This personal touch suggests a level of care and attention to customer needs that goes beyond simply handing over an order.

Another aspect of their service is the speed and efficiency. One reviewer described the customer service as "fast and efficient," which aligns with the takeout window model, suggesting a focus on быстрое order fulfillment. The positive interactions with staff, as noted in both reviews, indicate a friendly and helpful approach to customer service, which can significantly enhance the overall experience, even in a takeout-focused establishment.

The food at No. 1 China is consistently praised as a significant feature. One reviewer exclaimed, "Food is phenomenal," giving the restaurant a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. They specifically mentioned the "massive box of Chicken Lo Mein" they received for an affordable price of $11, highlighting both the generous portion sizes and the value for money. The deliciousness of the hot sauce packets provided was also noted, indicating attention to even the smaller details of the meal.

Another reviewer who had General Tso's on their first visit described it as "excellent," further attesting to the quality of their cooking. This customer also praised the consistently tasty food and specifically highlighted the "Fred chicken" (presumably fried chicken, a less common offering in typical Chinese restaurants) as being "Fred to perfection." The fact that this reviewer considers No. 1 China their "new favorite place to go" and that it reminds them of their hometown speaks volumes about the positive impression the food and overall experience have left.

The combination of phenomenal food quality, generous portion sizes, and affordable pricing appears to be a key feature that attracts and retains customers. The unique takeout window service, while perhaps contributing to the "weird location" and darker ambiance at night, does not seem to detract from the positive perception of the food and service.

Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the provided customer reviews. It is possible that No. 1 China offers daily specials, combination deals, or other promotions to attract local customers. Given the positive feedback on pricing and portion sizes, they may already offer inherent value. To learn about any specific promotions or discounts, local users would need to contact the restaurant directly at (864) 235-4250 or inquire when placing an order.

In conclusion, No. 1 China in Greenville, SC, stands out as a Chinese restaurant that prioritizes the quality and taste of its food, offers generous portions at reasonable prices, and provides friendly and efficient service, primarily through a takeout window. While the location might be perceived as somewhat unusual, especially at night, the positive feedback regarding the phenomenal food, particularly the Chicken Lo Mein, General Tso's, and fried chicken, along with the kind and helpful staff, suggests that No. 1 China has cultivated a loyal following among local users seeking delicious and affordable Chinese cuisine. For those in the Greenville area looking for a reliable and tasty Chinese takeout option, No. 1 China comes highly recommended based on recent customer experiences. To inquire about their menu or any potential promotions, contacting them directly is advised.

Rode my board there, and the lady stapled by box together so it didn't spill in my bag. A generous kind human. Food is phenomenal. 10 out of 10. Got a massive box of Chicken Lo Mein for 11 bucks, y'all. The hot sauce packets they gave me were also delicious. Got general tsos the first time. It was excellent

Exactly what I was looking for on New Year's Eve. Inexpensive, really filling, and really tasty American Chinese food. The broccoli beef was spot on. The sweet and sour pork was excellent. My only complaint was that the plain fried rice was literally plain and not even egg fried rice.
