Recent customer reviews present mixed opinions on the food quality at No. 1 China. One reviewer expressed significant disappointment with a recent order, describing the egg rolls as reheated and overly chewy with hard ends, the soup as just okay, and the General Tso chicken as being very spicy. This suggests a potential inconsistency in food preparation.

In contrast, another customer had a very positive experience with the Hot Pepper Chicken, highlighting it as the best chicken dish they had ever tasted. They praised the chicken's delicious flavor and perfect texture, as well as the sauce's spiciness balanced with a touch of sweetness.

This place used to be good. The egg rolls I ordered today were definitely reheated in a microwave or airfryer. They were extremely chewy and both ends of the egg rolls were hard as a rock. The soup was just ok and the Generals chicken was really spicy. Big disappointment today.

Last night I ordered the Hot Pepper Chicken, it has jalapeño, red chili etc. It was the best chicken dish I have ever had. The chicken was truly delicious, and the perfect texture, the sauce was was spicy, but I tasted a touch of sugar, it was nicely balanced.

Worst food I’ve ever had from this place and I had to wait extra long. Does this look like chicken lo mein. You can’t even identify the meat. Plus the chicken fried rice had absolutely no taste. I’ve ordered so many times but this will most likely be the last. Update 10/30/2024. Tried again, had the lo mein, won ton soup and shrimp rolls. Everything was delicious. What a turnaround from previous order. Was pleasantly surprised and will order again as of now.

Food is good just curious to know why you have to pay $.75 for them to drizzle hot sauce or barbecue sauce on your food. That’s a rip off. They also have menus with old prices on it and they don’t honor it.

Ordered General Tso Chicken combo and Bonless Ribs combo. The ribs were okay but the General Tso was soggy and the sauce was dang near in a solid state. I've had the Singapore Noodles before from here and liked it so I guess next time I'll stick with that.
