Nice 2 Meet U Hot Pot 那年遇见自助火锅

Just revisited Nice2MeetU, and now it’s All-You-Can-Eat! Lunch is $24.99, dinner $34.99. Tons of skewer options, fresh plates, and a great mix of veggies and proteins to throw in the pot. They also have a few premium items like duck blood, duck tongue, tender beef, and abalone for a small extra charge, which were all totally worth it. If you’re a hot pot fan, this is a must-try!

So I just went there on a whim. I decided to stop there as I wasn't sure what to have for dinner and was going to drive up and down Buford Highway until I saw something worthwhile. I pulled into the plaza and saw Nice 2 Meet U, and I decided to check it out. Well, I walked in and my first impression was great. It was new, nicely designed and the staff seated me immediately and were very friendly. Since it was my first time, the waitress thoroughly explained my options. I chose the very mild spicy and pork bone broth soups. They were both very tasty and the meats that I was able to select were great, both in the refrigerated meat selection area and the pork and beef delivered to my table. The food was awesome and absolutely delicious! Beef, pork, seafood, and plenty of veggies! I will certainly go back and bring friends too! I hope this place gets popular...but not too popular :)

The mild spicy broth and Chinese herbal soup were packed with flavor. Def coming back with my friends again! really love this skewer&hotpot concept. also enjoyed fresh watermelon in dessert bar.

We were not prepared! My niece had told me hot pot was on her bucket list so I took her to Nice 2 Meet U for her 20th birthday. Ok, full disclosure, this was our first time trying hot pot EVER and we should have done some research before going in blind! When we arrived, we tried to ask some instructional questions of our server but, although he was super sweet and friendly, he spoke minimal English so we were left to muddle through by glancing around at what other restaurant visitors were doing and sneaking glances at YouTube videos while giggling at our ignorance. We just prayed we were cooking everything long enough to ensure food safety, lol! We had no idea how it worked - didn’t even realize we were supposed to be putting our empty skewers in the hole at the end of the table until we saw a more knowledgeable table doing so more than halfway through our meal. We had been stuffing other trash in there instead (embarrassing!) We chose bone broth and tomato broth as our two soup bases. We loved the tomato but felt the bone broth was a bit bland. Our server explained we were to get our solid ingredients from a row of coolers. Everything was obviously very fresh and lovingly prepared and the restaurant and food cases were spotless. There were a lot of options - fascinating things like duck tongue and pork intestine - and a variety of interesting vegetables. We sampled many of these items for the experience, but I wish there had been a few “intro” options for beginners like us - maybe a simple tray of chicken tenderloins or marinated beef in addition to the honeycomb tripe and chicken feet. The beef wrapped veggies, ramen noodles and succulent quail eggs proved to be my favorite things we experimented with. We arrived a little early for dinner but the restaurant quickly filled up. Although we were woefully underprepared noobs, everyone around us seemed to be having the best time which leads me to believe the food was great quality - we just needed more education! We spent about $75 on the double broth hot pot, a wide variety of meats and other ingredients and three drinks - my honey pomelo tea was awesome! For the three of us who dined indiscriminately, we left full, and I think it was a pretty great value. All in all we had a lot of fun and ate some really interesting things we’d never tried before - some of which was delicious - however, the duck tongue was not my bag. If you love hot pot though, I think you will be really pleased with the freshness, authenticity and variety at Nice 2 Meet U!

Great AYCE hotpot. They have a variety of food including my favorite beef tripes, shrimp balls, chewy noodles, brown sugar rice cake, and many more. Service was great. Nice atmosphere. Will come back for more when I crave spicy hotpot!!
