About Ni Asian Kitchen
Welcome to Ni Asian Kitchen, located at 8817 Six Forks Rd in Raleigh, North Carolina. As an Asian restaurant, Ni Asian Kitchen aims to provide a diverse culinary experience, potentially encompassing Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and other Asian influences. Recent customer reviews, however, present a stark contrast in experiences, suggesting variability in food quality and service.
One enthusiastic customer lauded their experience, specifically mentioning the Thai chicken. They praised the breading as perfectly executed, highlighting the often tricky nature of breading in Asian cuisine. This reviewer found the food to be "so real, fresh, and portioned well," indicating a positive impression of the ingredients and serving sizes. Furthermore, they described the pricing as "very palatable," the staff as "awesome," and the food as "stellar," concluding that Ni Asian Kitchen is a "killer lunch spot." This review paints a picture of a restaurant that, at least on some occasions, delivers high-quality, flavorful Asian cuisine with excellent service at a reasonable price.
In stark opposition, another customer had an overwhelmingly negative experience. Their review, dated Christmas Eve (12/24/24), emphatically urged readers to "beware" and "DO NOT EST HERE!!!" They described the food as "really bad," providing specific examples. The orange beef was criticized for having an overpowering "orangey" flavor and an unpleasant texture likened to "cubed steak in gravy." The fried chicken was described as "gooey, not crispy," again with an "awful texture." This reviewer felt the food was inedible and sought a refund. Upon calling the restaurant, they reported being hung up on after sharing their complaints. The person who answered allegedly attributed the poor quality to the two-hour delay between ordering and consumption, a justification the reviewer found unsatisfactory, arguing that the taste was inherently bad regardless of temperature. The restaurant reportedly refused to rectify the situation, even a partial refund with the return of the uneaten food. The reviewer quoted their daughter's observation that "the meat texture was so weird," concurring with this assessment. The review concluded with a strong warning against spending money at Ni Asian Kitchen, labeling the food as "garbage" and asserting that "the customer isn’t right here." This account raises serious concerns about food quality, consistency, and customer service, particularly in handling complaints.
Considering these two reviews, it is difficult to form a definitive picture of the typical experience at Ni Asian Kitchen. The significant disparity suggests potential inconsistencies in food preparation, ingredient quality, or perhaps different experiences based on the specific dishes ordered or the time of the visit. The positive review highlights freshness, flavor, and good service, while the negative review describes the opposite and alleges poor handling of a customer complaint.
Information regarding the environment of Ni Asian Kitchen is limited to the address. Neither review provided details about the restaurant's ambiance, décor, or size. The positive review's mention of it being a "killer lunch spot" might imply a casual and efficient setting suitable for daytime dining. The lack of any description in the negative review suggests that the food quality and service issues were the primary focus of the customer's dissatisfaction.
The services offered by Ni Asian Kitchen likely include dine-in and takeout, as is typical for most Asian restaurants. The positive reviewer mentioned dining in for lunch ("killer lunch spot"). The negative reviewer ordered food for consumption off-premises, indicating takeout service is also available. The alleged incident of being hung up on after a complaint suggests a potential issue with customer service protocols or the handling of negative feedback over the phone.
Features of Ni Asian Kitchen, based on the limited and conflicting reviews, are difficult to ascertain definitively. The positive review suggests that the Thai chicken, at least, is a standout dish with perfectly executed breading and fresh, well-portioned ingredients. The pricing was also noted as palatable. However, the negative review strongly contradicts this, pointing to significant flaws in the preparation and taste of the orange beef and fried chicken. The contrasting opinions make it challenging to identify reliable features that consistently define the restaurant's offerings.
Currently, no promotional information is available in the provided customer reviews. To learn about any current specials, discounts, or new menu items at Ni Asian Kitchen, it is recommended to contact them directly via phone at (919) 916-5106 or +1 919-916-5106. Given the mixed feedback, it might also be prudent to inquire about the preparation methods or ingredients of specific dishes before ordering.
In conclusion, Ni Asian Kitchen in Raleigh presents a highly polarized image based on the two provided customer reviews. One customer experienced fresh, flavorful food, excellent service, and reasonable prices, while another reported inedible food, awful textures, and poor customer service. This significant discrepancy suggests a potential lack of consistency in the restaurant's offerings or service standards. Local users considering Ni Asian Kitchen should be aware of these conflicting experiences. While some may find a "killer lunch spot" with stellar food, others have encountered severely disappointing meals and unsatisfactory customer service. Further investigation, perhaps by reading more reviews from various sources or trying the restaurant with cautious expectations, might be necessary to form a more reliable opinion.

Customer Reviews
Got the Thai chicken. Breading is a fickle beast in the world of Asian cuisine. They nailed it. The food is all so real, fresh and portioned well. Pricing is very palatable, staff is awesome and the food stellar. Killer lunch spot.
beware!!!!!!!! DO NOT EST HERE!!! 12/24/24-Christkas Eve Food is really bad!!! The orange beef tastes very orangey and not a subtle flavor. The texture is so bad! It’s like cubed steak in gravy. The chicken is fried and gooey, not crispy. Again, awful texture! I’d love a refund because this isn’t right. I called the restaurant and was hung up on by the person who answered. I shared my complaints about the inedible food and he said since it was two hours, the quality of the food has diminished. Forget the quality—the taste was awful! I’ve had Asian cuisine before that needed warming up, but that didn’t detract from the taste and quality. So, what does he mean by the quality wouldn’t be the same two hours later? He would not make it right. Half the money back would have been fine; I would have quickly taken back the food we can’t eat to prove it was not good. My daughter said, “the meat texture was so weird.” She is correct. The customer isn’t right here. Beware before you spend your hard earned money on garbage
What a delight! We’ve been trying to find a great Asian restaurant in North Raleigh ever since our beloved Peace China closed. Whelp we’ve found it! This place has a great offering on their menu. We chose the Sesame chicken with fried rice on this visit. The chicken was cooked to crispy perfection. The sauce was a great balance of sweet and a little spice with tri-color sweet peppers and onion throughout. A healthy sprinkling of toasted sesame seeds to top it off. My husband and I shared the dish and still had a little left to take home. We will be back again real soon! Be aware that they do not seat for dinner. It is take out only after 3pm, however there are a few tables and chairs outside to enjoy your meal at in the evening. That’s what we did and it was lovely.
We had lunch at Ni Asian, and it was an excellent choice. We went early (a good idea, as there were people waiting by the time we were done) and were seated right away in a pretty back room. My Drunken Noodles were delicious, as was my Hot and Sour soup and Jasmine tea. The Pad Thai was perfect. Both dishes were full of fresh vegetables, very colorful and flavorful. I particularly liked the option to select brown rice and vegetarian protein for most dishes. Service was friendly and efficient.
came in during lunch time and it was a great experience. cute decorations on the walls. some don’t pertain to thailand or asia which i thought was fun to look at. food came out super quick, probably within 10 minutes. i got the pad thai and that was $15 (with extra meat) during the lunch hours. $13 for regular protein portion. staff was friendly too. the pad thai was pretty good overall. the best? no, but i was satisfied. it was a little more saucy than i like it but still very good. kung pao chicken was also great! it was $9 during lunch hours. it was a smaller portion but it was just the right amount of food. would come again in the future
