About New York Chinese Restaurant

New York Chinese Restaurant, located at 655 S Green Valley Pkwy #140, Henderson, NV 89052, USA, offers a taste of Chinese-American cuisine. They can be contacted at (702) 558-9200 or +1 702-558-9200.

Based on customer reviews, this Chinese restaurant appears to be a popular choice for locals, indicated by a busy atmosphere with frequent take-out orders, a hot grill, and a constantly ringing phone. This suggests a steady stream of satisfied customers who have their "usuals."

A reviewer originally from the East Coast, familiar with Chinese-American food, considers this restaurant a close second to their top choice, specifically praising the portion sizes, flavor, options, and price. The availability of classic dishes like Moo Goo Gai Pan, Egg Foo Young, and the inclusion of both duck sauce and hot mustard were significant factors in their positive assessment.

A key feature highlighted by customers is the exceptionally generous portion sizes. One reviewer humorously recounted underestimating the weight of their order (over 10 lbs for a combination plate and a family meal), which comfortably fed 4-5 people instead of the intended three, resulting in significant leftovers. The combination plates are described as being filled to the brim, sometimes even causing sauce to leak.

The menu offers a variety of options, including combination plates like sweet and sour chicken and beef with broccoli, which come with a choice of egg drop or wonton soup, egg rolls, and crab rangoon. Customers also rave about the fried rice and vegetable lo mein. Prices are reported to be reasonable, with one family of four typically spending between $14-$20 per person.

The egg rolls are noted for being large, crispy, and thick, while the shrimp and crab rangoon are substantial enough to be filling. The wonton soup is described as thick and hearty, making it a worthwhile side order.

While the restaurant was visited on a busy Saturday dinner time, one reviewer suggests that if the lunch specials offer the same portion sizes, it would be an excellent value. Ordering for take-out is recommended.

For local users in Henderson who crave Chinese-American food and find themselves distant from Chinatown or KTown, New York Chinese Restaurant is appreciated for satisfying those cravings. Frequent customers express their enjoyment of the food and the overall value.

In summary, New York Chinese Restaurant offers generous portions of flavorful Chinese-American dishes at a good price, making it a popular choice for take-out in Henderson. Expect classic menu items and substantial servings.

It was busy, food orders moving out the door, grill hot and smokin, phone ringing off the hook, customers bustin in the doorway to pick up their usuals. So far all good signs this place is a good decision. Moo Goo Gai Pan, Egg Foo Young, duck sauce AND hot mustard?? Oh yes that made me go for this restaurant. As someone originally from the east coast who grew up on Chinese-American food, this is a close 2nd to 1.portion , 2. flavour , 3. options and 4. price. While all of that is important, our biggest mistake coming here....- not knowing how big the portions were in order to order better! (TLDR)- As I grabbed our bag of food, I deeply underestimated what we were in for. It was litterally hot & heavy; easily weighed a good 10+ lbs and i buckled under its unexpected weight. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes there are containers to represent portion sizes on the wall, but the amount of food they packed in and taped them closed! The combination plate was wrapped in a bag bc it was filled to the brim and sauce leaking out! Ayyyeee! On our next trip we will do 1 (one) noodle instead of 2 orders of pork fried rice. We had enough between a combination plate and a family meal to feed 4-5 people instead of our 3. Left-overs is an understatement. There was no need for extra egg rolls unless you have a picky eater or a lover of them. Egg rolls are large, crispy/flakey and thick! The shrimp and crab rangoon are big enough to fill you up. We grabbed wonton soup - THICK & HEARTY!! Ordering that as a side is totally worth it. We came on a Saturday around dinner time, if lunch specials are the same portions, it's an absolute amazing price. Consider ordering to-go. Thank you for being close to our house. Not being near Chinatown or KTown is tough when we have a craving but most spots are not to my liking.

We are frequent customers and enjoy their sweet and sour chicken combination and beef with broccoli combination dinner plates. They come with a choice of egg drop soup or wonton soup, egg rolls, and a crab rangoon. We typically spend $14-$20 per person for our family of 4. We’ve had their fried rice and vegetable lo mein and absolutely love it!

Very good but very busy, which is a good sign right? Next time I will call and order ahead of coming. We decided to eat here and it was a wait. But the food is good. My son had seconds which he early does. Portions are huge. So next time we will order less food. We will have leftovers for lunch and dinner. We order orange chicken that came with white rice, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork, and pork fried rice. Plenty of parking. Handicap friendly. The door is “regular size but plenty of room to move around and tables are handicap friendly.
