New Winsor Dim Sum House & Bar

The location in Chinatown is usually my go-to for dim sum. This was my first time ordering from the Quincy location. Maybe it tastes better dining in, but there were some issues with the take-out. - Deep Fried Shrimp and Chives Dumplings ($7.45): The outside was not that crispy, but I expected that since I was not eating them fresh with delivery. The filling taste was okay. - BBQ Pork Buns ($6.45): The bun had a raw flour taste, so I think it needed to be cooked longer. I ended up only being able to eat the BBQ pork filling, which was not that much. - Minced Beef Rice Roll ($7.45): The dough for this also had a weird flavor like the BBQ pork buns, and the beef was not that good. - Salted Egg Yolk Custard Lava Sesame Balls ($7.45): These were good. They had a nice crust, and the custard was not too sweet, even though it did not ooze out. - Spareribs in Black Bean Sauce ($6.75): These were also good. Decent amount of meat on the bones.

Went here for Dim Sum. The food was pretty good l. But the atmosphere and the feen and look was not professional enough. Service was a bit off and it could be just language but the wait staff never checked in on you or see if you needed anything.

I love how this restaurant provides menu with the pictures of the food that we don’t have to guess what we order. Fast service, friendly staffs and at least they know basic English. Eating dim sum must be paired with hot tea. Taste of the food is just okay but not very special. Very limited parking, cash only payment, small place so you better prepare to queue on their busy hours are among the cons.

Came here with friends on Saturday morning. The food came out fast. I liked how the menu had pictures, helpful for people who aren’t as familiar with the names of the dishes. My favorites here were the youtiao rice rolls, beef brisket rice rolls, and the pandan bread. I think they do the rice rolls well here. BTW they only take cash here.

The food, Dim Dum tastes amazing! Good decent service also. But this restaurant is CASH ONLY!
