About New Wing Fat Chinese Restaurant

Welcome to your local guide to New Wing Fat Chinese Restaurant, a Chinese eatery situated at 640 E 3rd Ave in San Mateo, California. As a Chinese Restaurant, New Wing Fat aims to provide a range of services and goods related to Chinese cuisine for the local community. Whether you're looking for a quick takeout meal or a place to dine in, understanding what this establishment offers can help you make an informed decision.

Based on the limited information available online, including customer reviews, we can piece together a general overview of what to expect from New Wing Fat Chinese Restaurant. It's important to note that the information is based on a small sample of feedback and may not represent the experience of every customer.

One customer review suggests that New Wing Fat might be a suitable option for family takeout, particularly if you're looking for what they describe as "crazy Chinese food" that is filling. This implies that the restaurant may offer generous portions, potentially catering to families or those with hearty appetites. The reviewer also mentioned the availability of combination meals, as they were able to order orange chicken and chow mein together, even outside of the lunch special hours. However, this same reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the price of their small takeout plate, finding it to be $18, which they deemed not worth the cost.

Another piece of feedback was less positive, stating that the food "did not taste right" and that the portion size was "very small." This starkly contrasts with the previous review's mention of filling portions, highlighting the potential for variability in customer experiences or perhaps specific dishes.

Given these contrasting viewpoints, it's challenging to form a definitive picture of the environment and overall quality of New Wing Fat Chinese Restaurant. Typically, a Chinese restaurant in this category might offer a casual dining atmosphere, suitable for both individuals and families. The ambiance often ranges from simple and functional to more decorated, featuring traditional Chinese elements. Without specific details about the interior or atmosphere of New Wing Fat, we cannot provide a description of its environment.

In terms of services, as a Chinese restaurant, New Wing Fat likely offers standard options such as dine-in and takeout. The positive review mentioning a takeout order confirms this. It's also plausible that they might offer delivery services through third-party platforms or their own means, although this is not explicitly stated in the provided information. Regarding the features of New Wing Fat Chinese Restaurant, we can infer some possibilities based on the category and the limited reviews. The ability to customize orders (as indicated by the orange chicken and chow mein request) could be a feature. Chinese restaurants often offer a wide variety of dishes, encompassing different regional styles and popular American-Chinese cuisine. These may include staples like fried rice, various noodle dishes (such as chow mein and lo mein), a selection of meat, poultry, and seafood entrees, as well as vegetarian options. Without a menu, it's impossible to detail the specific culinary offerings of New Wing Fat.

Promotional information is entirely absent from the provided data. In conclusion, New Wing Fat Chinese Restaurant at 640 E 3rd Ave, San Mateo, CA, appears to be a local establishment offering Chinese cuisine with takeout and potentially dine-in services. I’d say this place might be decent if you want family take out of crazy Chinese food. I’m sure it can be very filling. I had missed the lunch special and just wanted a plate to feed my son and I. I mentioned I just wanted orange chicken and chow mein, and they said they could do it no problem. Come to find out my small takeout plate cost $18. Not worth it.

Fast and courteous service. Good selection of Cantonese and other regional Chinese dishes offered. Highly recommended: shrimp with walnuts, bitter melon with beef, salt and pepper pork chop, crispy Hong Kong noodles, and house fried rice.
