For local users seeking a Chinese dining experience, it's essential to consider various factors when choosing a restaurant. These often include the quality and taste of the food, the atmosphere of the establishment, the efficiency and courtesy of the service, any unique culinary features, and the overall value proposition. To provide an objective introduction to New Rainbow, we will analyze recent customer reviews available online, focusing on these key aspects.

Recent customer feedback regarding New Rainbow presents a mixed picture, with significant concerns raised about the customer service, particularly interactions with a young woman at the front of the restaurant. One reviewer recounted two negative experiences involving this employee, stating that she had difficulty understanding English, was argumentative and sarcastic, and twice provided the wrong food order. This resulted in the reviewer having to drive back to the restaurant on one occasion, where they reported further negative verbal interaction. This customer, who had been a patron for three years, expressed extreme dissatisfaction, stating that the incorrect food received was inedible and vowed never to return. This review strongly suggests a severe issue with the front-of-house customer service and order accuracy.

Another customer echoed the sentiment regarding the lack of "friendly politeness" at New Rainbow. However, this reviewer indicated a willingness to overlook the rudeness as long as the food remained "delicious." This suggests that, for some patrons, the quality of the food might be a significant draw, potentially outweighing the negative aspects of the service. This reviewer also shared an experience of ordering chicken wings with shrimp fried rice multiple times, which seemed to cause "annoyance" on the part of the restaurant staff. On a subsequent order where they changed to house fried rice, they received pork fried rice instead, which was problematic due to a price difference, highlighting issues with order accuracy and potentially a lack of attention to detail.

Based on these reviews, it is evident that customer service is a major point of concern at New Rainbow. The behavior described by the first reviewer is particularly alarming, indicating potential communication barriers, confrontational behavior, and a lack of professionalism. While the second reviewer was more tolerant, acknowledging the rudeness as long as the food quality was maintained, the issue of incorrect orders also points to potential inefficiencies in their order-taking and fulfillment processes.

Regarding the food itself, one reviewer explicitly stated that the food was "delicious," specifically when they received their preferred order. This suggests that when the orders are correct, the food quality may be satisfactory or even enjoyable for some customers. However, the first reviewer's experience of receiving inedible food raises serious questions about the consistency and quality control of the dishes served. The discrepancy in fried rice types received by the second reviewer also indicates potential issues with attention to detail in the kitchen or during order preparation.

The provided reviews do not offer any insights into the environment or ambiance of New Rainbow. Whether it is primarily a takeout establishment with a minimal waiting area or a restaurant with a dedicated dine-in space is not mentioned. Local users interested in the dining atmosphere would need to seek additional information through other online sources or by contacting the restaurant directly.

Similarly, the reviews do not provide comprehensive details about the services offered by New Rainbow. We can infer that they offer takeout, as both reviewers mentioned placing and receiving orders. The possibility of dine-in service is not explicitly confirmed or denied in these reviews. Additional services such as delivery options or catering are also not mentioned.

In terms of unique features, the reviews do not highlight any specific culinary specialties or unique aspects of New Rainbow's menu or cooking style. One reviewer had a specific preferred order (chicken wings with shrimp fried rice), suggesting that these might be popular items, but no distinctive features of the restaurant are apparent from the provided feedback.

Finally, there is no information available in these reviews regarding any promotional offers, discounts, or special deals that New Rainbow might be currently running. Local users interested in such information would need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire.

In conclusion, New Rainbow in Angier, NC, presents a complex picture based on recent customer reviews. While one reviewer found the food delicious when the order was correct, significant concerns have been raised regarding the customer service, particularly the behavior and communication skills of a front-of-house employee. Issues with order accuracy have also been reported. The quality of the food seems to be a potential positive aspect for some, but the experience of receiving inedible food by one customer is a serious red flag. Local users considering New Rainbow should weigh the potential for good food against the reported issues with service and order accuracy and may want to exercise caution by carefully checking their orders before leaving the premises. Further information about the dining environment, full range of services, culinary features, and any promotions would require additional investigation.

Young woman at front can’t understand English well and gets very argumentative and sarcastic. I get home and I have wrong food. I’m writing this because she has done the same thing to me twice! I called she answered the phone and she got smart with me! When I drove back 7 miles to return the food she started her mouth again at me! I have shopped here for three years now. The young woman has done the same thing to me on two different occasions. I will never come back! Whatever was put in my food box wasn’t even edible. I threw it away. Never again!

I have ordered from this location several times. I will agree with other customers that friendly politeness does not exist here. However as long as the food is delicious 🤤😋 keep it rude. 🤣😂 I have made the same order of chicken wings with shrimp fried rice a few times which caused a bit of annoyance on their end. The last time I changed it to house fried rice and received pork fried rice. Which only matters because of the price difference. I want what I paid for. So if you can get past the attitude and checking your order for the correct order I highly recommend. ❤️😍🥰

I absolutely love this place! My fiancé and I eat here once a week. Consistently great food and generous portions. The crab Rangoon is among the best I've ever had!

I've been living in town for years and being as they are the only Chinese place in town I have ordered from them for years. I've never had any problems with the service they've always been very friendly with me I make sure to leave a couple dollars in the tip jar. I make sure they see me leave a couple dollars. I always order online so there is no language barrier issue with the phone. I ordered chicken with mushrooms and add broccoli what I was given was chicken with mixed vegetables. In the past if there has been a question about my order they have called. Today they just made whatever they wanted and gave it to me. I asked them to fix it I told them about what I actually ordered and The youngest woman there was very disrespectful and yelled at me across the restaurant in front of other customers waiting for their food because she wanted my meal back. I told her if she was going to throw it away that I could do that for her because I wasn't going to have her resell it to another person after my children had touched the food. If looks could kill I wouldn't be posting this review that's what I would say. so be very careful on what you order and make sure it's exactly what you want. In the future just avoid the youngest woman completely actually. I'm sure she already has the best day by working in a hot restaurant but she did not need to talk to me that way when they made a mistake. I pretty much just got into a shouting match with a 25 year old woman. Because honestly she wanted to resell that plate to someone else.
