About New Rainbow

Welcome to New Rainbow, a Chinese restaurant located at 3427 N Main St in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. Serving the local community, New Rainbow can be contacted at (919) 567-8272 or via their mobile number +1 919-567-8272 for inquiries or to place an order. As a local Chinese restaurant, New Rainbow is reportedly family-run and primarily focuses on providing takeout services.

Based on recent customer feedback, the experiences at New Rainbow appear to be quite varied, with one review highly recommending specific dishes and praising the family who runs the establishment, while another details a significantly negative experience involving cold food and unsatisfactory customer service. This contrast suggests potential inconsistencies in food preparation and customer relations.

One enthusiastic reviewer expressed a strong affinity for New Rainbow, describing it as a "little place" that they "absolutely love." They highlighted that it is family-run and commended the hard work of the owners. In terms of food, this reviewer stated that the Chinese cuisine is "always delicious and on point" when they pick up their orders. They specifically recommended the Triple Delight, House Special Fried Rice, and particularly the egg rolls, urging others to give New Rainbow a try.

Conversely, another customer recounted a deeply negative experience. This reviewer mentioned having been a regular customer, primarily because they appreciated that the egg rolls were made fresh. However, on a recent order, which included a plate of sesame chicken and three egg rolls, they discovered that the egg rolls were "ice cold in the middle" upon arriving home. This followed a previous incident about a week prior where chicken ordered for their girlfriend was also cold in the middle. While they had reheated the chicken without complaint, the cold egg rolls, which required deep frying (a method they couldn't replicate at home), prompted them to contact the restaurant.

According to this reviewer, a woman at the store offered to replace the egg rolls the following day. However, when the customer's girlfriend went to redeem this offer two days later, the person they spoke with (referred to as "Mr Register man") refused to replace the three egg rolls, even though they had proof of purchase. When the reviewer went inside to inquire about this discrepancy, the man allegedly accused them of trying to take advantage, stating, "y’all do this to much and you need to bring the food back if you want it replaced." The reviewer vehemently denied ever asking for a replacement before and expressed offense at being accused of trying to scam the restaurant out of three egg rolls, especially when they had spent $17 on the initial order and could have asked for a full refund or remake instead.

This negative experience was compounded by the fact that the reviewer had previously received cold food from the restaurant on two consecutive occasions. They expressed concern about the food being undercooked and implied potential health risks associated with eating cold pork and chicken. The reviewer also recounted feeling racially profiled during the interaction. As a result of this experience, they stated they would never eat at New Rainbow again and hoped they would not get sick from the partially eaten cold egg roll.

Based on these reviews, it is difficult to ascertain the typical environment and services of New Rainbow. The positive review focuses solely on the quality of the food for takeout and the hardworking nature of the family running the establishment. The negative review primarily details issues with food temperature upon pickup and a confrontational customer service interaction regarding a replacement for a faulty order. There is no information provided about the dine-in environment, if any, or other aspects of their service.

In terms of features, New Rainbow offers a menu that includes dishes like Triple Delight, House Special Fried Rice, sesame chicken, and egg rolls. The positive reviewer specifically recommended the Triple Delight, House Special Fried Rice, and egg rolls, suggesting these might be signature or well-prepared items. However, the negative reviewer's experience with cold sesame chicken and cold egg rolls indicates potential inconsistencies in food preparation and temperature control.

Promotional information is not available in the provided text. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on any special offers or deals that New Rainbow might be running.

In conclusion, New Rainbow in Fuquay-Varina, NC, appears to be a family-run Chinese restaurant primarily serving takeout customers. While one reviewer praised the delicious food, particularly the Triple Delight, House Special Fried Rice, and egg rolls, another detailed a troubling experience with cold food and a negative interaction with the management regarding a replacement. This stark contrast in feedback suggests that the quality and consistency of both the food and the customer service at New Rainbow may be variable. Local users considering ordering from New Rainbow might want to take these recent experiences into account. If you decide to try them, it may be wise to check the temperature of your food upon pickup and be prepared for potentially inconsistent service should any issues arise.

Well I was insulted. I’ve been coming to this place for awhile because I like that the make the egg rolls fresh. Literally the only reason I come to this place. So I ordered my gf a plate of sesame chicken and 3 egg rolls one for her two for me. I get home we begin to eat and the egg rolls are ice cold in the middle. Mind you about a week prior the chicken I ordered for her was cold in the middle. I just never said anything about it because I just reheated and we ate it. The egg rolls on the other hand needed to be deep fried and I don’t have a deep fryer at home. So my girlfriend called the store and the lady said we could come back tomorrow and get them replaced. Tomorrow comes. We weren’t able to make it. So the very next day which is today my gf says hey we should get our replacement egg rolls while we’re in town. She walks in the comes back to tell me he won’t replace the 3 egg rolls. Even though we had the proof of purchase. So I go inside the ask about why he won’t replace the food they told us over the phone they would. He tells me that “y’all do this to much and you need to bring the food back if you want it replaced” I’ve literally never asked for a replacement here once. Never had to before because my food was always hot and fresh. I don’t know why all of a sudden lately the food I paid my hard earned money for has been ice cold. I’m assuming it’s because he has gotten me confused with someone else, and maybe they wanted to get that person sick by giving them undercooked cold pork and chicken. Well I told him that all black people don’t look alike and that I would never eat at this restaurant again. How dare he accuse me of trying to scam him of three egg rolls. With zero reason like I said I’ve literally never asked them to replace anything up until today. Don’t you think Mr Register man that I would ask for a full refund or remake of the 17 bucks I spent with you guys instead of asking for the 3 egg rolls if I were trying to scam you? Obviously he doesn’t think. So rude. Literally waisted my money on cold food. I’ll never spend another penny with you guys. I really hope I don’t get sick from biting into that egg roll that was cold in the middle and If I get sick from eating that cold pork you will hear from me.

We've ordered weekly takeout for at least one year. However, lately, the dishes don't taste fresh. The gravy has gel particles as if refrigerated and not thoroughly reheated. I had some vegetable lo mein that made me sick. We are looking for a new Chinese food restaurant, we're over New Rainbow.

Your mom told us to bring the cold egg rolls back that same night. I drove to fuquay to pick up my kid came home. Then drove to fuquay to pick up our food. Came home. My GF told your mom we would come back the following day to get the food. Your mom never said anything about bringing food back or a receipt. She was on speaker I heard everything. I brought the receipt and would have brought the food to if she would have told me to do so. I got mad because you asked me to drive home to grab 3 egg rolls. That you messsd up. I’m not the one that under cooked it. You said I was sitting down in the lobby while you made it so it’s no way it could be cold right? Well me sitting in the lobby has nothing to do with you serving me undercooked food. I’ve literally never asked for a refund or asked you to re cook anything until that one day. You accused me of doing that all the time correct? How is it not racist when I’ve never done it once? That means you were comparing me to some other black person. I’ve been a customer of yalls for awhile until that day. You would think you’d be able to tell the difference between me and some other black person. You were wrong. Stop trying to play victim. Again why would I scam you for 3 egg rolls? You think I’m broke right? I had every right to be offended because again I didn’t do anything wrong. I just came to pick up the remake of 3 egg rolls that your mom told us it was okay to get. Unfortunately she wasn’t in that day and you decided to act like a A hole.
