About New Phoenix Seafood Restaurant

Welcome to New Phoenix Seafood Restaurant, a Chinese Restaurant located at 912 65th St in Brooklyn, NY. As a Chinese Restaurant, we offer a diverse menu of Chinese cuisine, including seafood dishes, to the local community.

Customers have shared varied experiences at New Phoenix Seafood Restaurant. One reviewer noted "good service" and "very good food," describing it as a "nice, large restaurant" with street parking available. They also mentioned a change in service style, as the restaurant no longer uses rolling carts; instead, you order and the food is brought to your table. This customer did observe an increase in prices and found a recent takeout order of General Tso's chicken to be "not too good."

In contrast, another patron who visited for Mother's Day reported a positive experience, stating that the "food here is delicious." They were pleased with the staff's ability to accommodate a large party at one table, describing them as "friendly" and efficient in serving the food. The pacing of the combination dishes was also deemed satisfactory.

However, a subsequent visit for Thanksgiving eve dinner brought a different outcome for another customer. They ordered a combination meal but were not provided with roast pig, reportedly because it was not ordered early enough, even though the order was placed a "decent amount of time" in advance.

New Phoenix Seafood Restaurant appears to be a spacious establishment that has provided good service and tasty food for some customers, particularly for large gatherings and special occasions. However, there are mentions of increased prices and inconsistencies in food quality for takeout orders, as well as potential issues with specific dishes in combination meals if not ordered with sufficient notice. Service was good. Food was very good. Nice, large restaurant. Street parking. No more rolling carts. You order and they bring it out. Prices sure have gone up! Got a take out order of general tso today, not too good.

The food here is delicious. We came here for Mother’s day and we were not disappointed. The staff was accommodating with our large party sitting at one table. They were friendly and served the food to each of our plates super quickly. The combination food came out at a decent pace (not too fast and not too slow). We came back for Thanksgiving eve dinner. We ordered the combination meal and were not given a roast pig because we did not order it early enough, even though it was a decent amount of time.

I've dined here multiple times with family and friends for dim sum and lunch. It's a popular place. The food is good as well. I like that they have a variety of dishes for people with diet restrictions. I don't eat pork, beef or lamb and was still able to enjoy my meal. I ate shumai with shrimp, eggplant stuffed with shrimp, and noodles. My favorite desserts were the sesame ball with sweetened black sesame paste inside and egg tarts.

We came here because East Harbor was closed. The food quality is slightly worse at Affable, but serviceable. Selection of dim sum is not that good. Edit- Food appears to have much improved since I went last time. Selection is still poor, not too many steamed buns but price is reasonable. Came back in late March 2021 and they're open for dinner! If you come early there isn't that many people (5pm).

Better Cantonese cooking elsewhere. They score points for creative plating and food is not bad, my low rating is due to lack of service. Regardless I had three VIPs in my party, management did bare minimum on the service and didn't even respect us even after gouging me with a $1,400+ dining bill. It was my grandmother's 94th birthday, we booked the private Karaoke room. Terrible service and the food was only so so. Affable is laughable. Skip it!!
