About New Panda

Welcome to New Panda, a Chinese restaurant situated at 445 E Cheyenne Mountain Blvd in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a local establishment within the Chinese restaurant category, New Panda aims to provide a variety of Chinese dishes to satisfy the cravings of its customers. With a contact phone number of (719) 576-9211 and a mobile number +1 719-576-9211, placing orders or making inquiries is made convenient for local residents. The physical address indicates its accessibility within the Colorado Springs area, catering to both dine-in and takeout customers, as well as those seeking delivery services.

Based on the available customer reviews, New Panda elicits a range of experiences. One reviewer noted the hard work of the staff and the generous portion sizes, which are definite positives. However, this reviewer also pointed out several significant issues with the food quality. The lo mein noodles were described as "stiff and chewy and extremely salty," and the sweet and sour chicken was deemed to taste "off," leading to it being uneaten. Furthermore, the rice was reported as "undercooked," a less common issue. On a more positive note, the soup (despite containing the same stiff noodles as the lo mein), the spring roll, and the chicken wing were found to be good. This suggests a potential inconsistency in the preparation of certain dishes, while others might be more reliably satisfying. The reviewer also mentioned sticky tabletops, which could be an area for improvement in terms of the dining environment.

In contrast, other reviewers express more positive sentiments. One simply stated "Yum!", indicating a satisfying experience. Another customer was "happy to have found a delicious, decently priced Chinese restaurant near our new place," suggesting that New Panda offers a good value proposition and palatable food for some local residents.

Further positive feedback highlights several specific dishes that have been well-received. These include the Yakitori, sweet and sour chicken, egg drop soup (noting the inclusion of crispy noodles as a side for dine-in customers), egg rolls, crab cheese wontons, and orange chicken. Notably, a reviewer who isn't typically a fan of orange chicken was impressed by New Panda's version, indicating a potentially unique and appealing preparation of this popular dish. The Jasmine tea was also mentioned as being "hot and yummy," though the reviewer humorously noted the difficulty in making tea poorly. This suggests that New Panda pays attention to even the simpler aspects of the dining experience.

The experiences with service seem to be generally satisfactory. One reviewer who dined in once and had delivery once (using Uber Eats due to a perceivedly high delivery fee, which is an important point for potential delivery customers to note) described both experiences as "great, pleasurable" with "yummy hot food." Another reviewer found the service to be "fine, nothing to write home about, no complaints either. Just right," suggesting a competent and adequate level of service without being particularly exceptional.

Overall, New Panda appears to be a Chinese restaurant in Colorado Springs that offers generous portions and a variety of dishes, some of which have garnered positive reviews, such as the egg drop soup (with crispy noodles for dine-in), egg rolls, crab cheese wontons, and particularly the orange chicken. However, there are also reports of inconsistencies in food quality, specifically concerning the lo mein noodles, sweet and sour chicken, and rice. The dining environment might also have areas for improvement, as indicated by the mention of sticky tabletops. The service seems to be generally acceptable, though the delivery fees might be a consideration for some customers.

For local users seeking a Chinese restaurant with a diverse menu and generally large portions, New Panda is an option to consider. The positive feedback on several key dishes suggests that there are definitely items worth trying. However, it would be prudent for first-time customers to be aware of the reported inconsistencies in certain dishes. Exploring the highly recommended items like the orange chicken, egg rolls, and crab cheese wontons might be a good starting point. For those considering delivery, it may be beneficial to inquire about their delivery fees or explore third-party delivery services as an alternative.

To experience New Panda's offerings, you can visit their location at 445 E Cheyenne Mountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80906, or place an order by calling (719) 576-9211 or +1 719-576-9211. Whether you choose to dine in and enjoy the complimentary crispy noodles with your egg drop soup, opt for takeout for a convenient meal at home, or arrange for delivery, New Panda aims to provide a range of Chinese culinary options to the local Colorado Springs community.

It is hard to leave an unpleasant review when you know that the staff works really hard and gives a very generous portion of food. However, the food was bad in a lot of ways. The lo-mein noodles were stiff and chewy and extremely salty. The sweet and sour chicken actually tasted off and was not eaten after a first bite out of caution. The rice was actually under cooked which you rarely come across and the table tops were sticky. I did like the soup, even though it had the same stiff noodles as the lo-mein, and the spring roll and chicken wing were good.

Yum! I was happy to have found a delicious, decently priced Chinese restaurant near our new place. We’ve had their Yakatori, Sweet and sour chicken, egg drop soup (which when you dine in you get a side of the crisp noodles to put on top/ in the soup), egg rolls, crab cheese wontons and orange chicken. All were tasty and great size on the portions. I’m not even a fan of orange chicken but theirs actually impressed my taste buds! The Jasmine tea was hot and yummy but can you really do tea wrong lol. Dined in once and had them delivered once (their delivery fee seemed a little insane so I used Uber eats) Both were great, pleasurable experiences with yummy hot food. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a Chinese restaurant that hits the spot. So far we have been very impressed and will be back ourselves to sample other menu items. The service was fine, nothing to write home about, no complaints either. Just right.

I love this little restaurant! I have had their food many many times. I absolutely love their mango chicken dish. My favorite combination of their food is the mango chicken with fried rice, crab cheese rangoons and depending on the day I will get their chinese donuts. Their portion versus price is awesome. I always have enough for leftovers. This visit was the first time I actually dined in. The atmosphere is nice a cozy. My server gave me time to figure what I wanted. Then throughout my meal she checked in the perfect amount of times to make sure that I was doing okay. They have plenty of parking spaces as well. It's been easy for me to find parking and to be able to leave the parking lot easily. If you want delicious Chinese food I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Somewhat dated (but charming in a way) Chinese place that’s good for a quick lunch or dinner but nothing special or anything you should go out of your way for. I got the Szechuan chicken lunch combo ($10.25); the chicken and vegetables were okay if nothing amazing, the fried rice was decent, the egg roll was quite good, but the chicken wing was small and dry and tasted fairly old. Overall though it wasn’t a bad meal and the service was quick, so I do recommend this spot if you’re close by and looking for a fast, inexpensive lunch.
