While the reviews do not offer extensive details about the restaurant's ambiance, one customer noted that the "atmosphere service is good," suggesting a pleasant environment for diners.

To provide a balanced perspective on what you can expect at New Panda, we have gathered recent feedback from customers who have experienced their food and service. These reviews offer insights into the strengths and potential areas for consideration at this establishment.

One customer enthusiastically stated, "Food is great!!" This positive comment indicates a general satisfaction with the taste and quality of the food offered at New Panda, suggesting that many diners find their dishes to be enjoyable.

However, the same reviewer also shared a more specific experience that was less satisfactory: "This is my third time coming here and this has been the only disappointing visit. Asked for half orange chicken and half teriyaki chicken. I open my bowl to only count 5 pieces of teriyaki chicken. Young lady with freckles NEEDS to be trained on how to serve proper portions, almost seemed like she counted one by one as she was placing the chicken." This detailed account raises concerns about portion control and consistency. The customer's disappointment at receiving a significantly smaller portion of one of the ordered items suggests a potential issue with training or standardized serving sizes for certain dishes. The observation that the server appeared to be meticulously counting the pieces implies a level of strictness that resulted in an inadequate portion for the customer.

Another customer commented, "The atmosphere service is good as well as the food but just notice the chicken is a little stiff and hard always everything else good." This review offers a more comprehensive view, praising both the atmosphere and the service as being good, alongside the food in general. However, it also points out a recurring issue with the texture of the chicken, describing it as "a little stiff and hard always." This suggests that while the overall taste and other aspects of the food might be satisfactory, the texture of the chicken is a consistent concern for this particular diner.

Based on these reviews, New Panda appears to offer food that is generally well-received, with one customer explicitly stating that "food is great." The atmosphere and service are also noted as being good by another reviewer, contributing to a positive overall experience for some diners.

However, there are also areas that potential customers should be aware of. The issue of portion control, as highlighted by the customer who received a very small serving of teriyaki chicken, suggests a lack of consistency in this aspect. This could be particularly relevant for customers ordering combination meals or specific quantities of items.

Furthermore, the recurring comment about the chicken being "a little stiff and hard always" indicates a potential issue with the preparation or quality of the chicken used in some dishes. This is a significant factor for those who frequently order chicken-based meals and might find the texture unappealing.

While the specific menu items at New Panda are not detailed in the provided information, typical Chinese restaurants offer a variety of dishes, including chicken, beef, pork, and vegetable options, along with rice and noodle dishes. Given the reviews, popular choices might include orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. However, potential customers may want to be mindful of the portion sizes they receive and the potential texture of the chicken in their orders.

The positive mention of "good atmosphere service" suggests that the staff at New Panda are likely friendly and provide a pleasant dining environment. This can be an important factor for those who prefer a welcoming and comfortable setting when dining out.

For local users in Simi Valley considering New Panda, the restaurant seems to offer generally well-liked food and a pleasant atmosphere with good service. However, it is advisable to be mindful of potential inconsistencies in portion sizes, particularly when ordering combination meals. Additionally, if you are sensitive to the texture of chicken, the feedback regarding it being "stiff and hard" might be a factor to consider.

As no specific promotional information was included in the provided reviews, it would be beneficial for local users to contact New Panda directly at (805) 577-1237 or +1 805-577-1237 to inquire about any current specials, discounts, or promotions they might be offering. Supporting local restaurants often comes with opportunities to discover unique deals and enjoy community favorites.

In summary, New Panda at 2950 Cochran St # B in Simi Valley offers "great food" and a "good atmosphere service." However, potential customers should be aware of reported issues regarding portion control for combination meals and the consistently stiff texture of the chicken in some dishes. It is recommended to inquire about current promotions directly with the restaurant to make the most of your dining experience.

I didn't come here in a long time.. And can say they did improve in a lot of things.. The customer service was great! Also was a problem all the time a come here because the way to pay cash or using your credit card was a pain.. Today for example I use my Samsung pay and it works!! I will come back with my family next time to have a nice lunch..👍

The portions are astounding and the employees are always helpful and friendly. The Japanese Chicken and Potato chicken are my favorites! I highly recommend this place to get a lot of bang for your buck. A staple and gem of Simi Valley for sure!

Still left with a bad taste in my mouth while writing this. Rice was sticky mushy, almost gluey paste like. Veggies and protein tasted like they were about to expire. The Only thing decent was the chow mein and the sliver of chicken on the orange chicken. I remember at one point they where good. Don't know what happened.
