About New Mandarin Garden Restaurant

New Mandarin Garden Restaurant is a Chinese Restaurant located at 1001 Vermont Ave #106 in Los Angeles, California. Notably, this establishment is reported to be run by a Korean family, offering a diverse menu of Chinese cuisine.

The restaurant itself is described as small but with a large menu encompassing various options such as chicken, pork, beef, seafood, noodles, and appetizers. A point of service mentioned by a reviewer is the meticulous checking of vaccination cards upon entry, suggesting attention to current health and safety protocols.

A highlight mentioned by multiple customers is their noodle dishes. One reviewer specifically enjoyed the noodles and appreciated the option to order a half-and-half portion of both chow mein and chachiang mein, finding both to be good. The seafood noodle soup was also noted as being "pretty good." However, the fried shrimp was mentioned as a less impressive dish.

Another reviewer highly recommended the spicy noodle soup (item #17 on the menu) and the dumplings, describing the dumplings as "most excellent." These dumplings are characterized by a huge, supple portion with a significant amount of meat in a large, crunchy shell, deemed sufficient for at least two people. Similarly, the spicy noodle soup comes in a large bowl and is also suggested for sharing.

The Kung Pao chicken was also praised as excellent, and the service was reported to be prompt, with hardly any wait time. This customer chose the restaurant based on good reviews and found it to be a satisfying experience. The large portion sizes appear to be a consistent feature across different dishes.

Been here twice. The noodles are nice. I like that you can order half&half for the chowma mein and the chachiang mein. Both are good! The seafood noodle soup is pretty good as well. But the fried shrimp is a little disappointing though.

This is a Chinese restaurant run by a Korean family. It is a small restaurant with a big menu (chicken, pork, beef, seafood, noodles, and appetizers). Our vaccination cards were meticulously checked at the door. The waitress recommended the spicy noodle soup (#17 on the menu) and dumplings. Dumplings were most excellent. The portion is huge, and they are supple - a lot of meat in a large crunchy shell. Sufficient for at least two people. The soup also comes in a huge bowl and can be shared by two people. We also ate Kung Pao chicken. Everything was excellent, and we hardly had to wait at all. We picked this place because of good reviews, and it did not disappoint.

My family & I have been coming here for years. Even though we live in long Beach, we still make that drive because of one specific plate. DRY ROAST SPICED CHICKEN WITH WHITE RICE & HOT TEA IS THE BOMB!! I really recommend trying it

This is a Korean style Chinese Restaurant that serves jjampong and jiajangmeon. I had the Jiampong rice which replaces the noodles with plain rice. Soup tasted quite home made. I would try the other dishes next time. Place is small inside and the strip mall parking can get crowded due to many shops in the mall.

Best hole-in-the-wall Chinese joint. For those of you who can never answer the age old question of jja-jang or jjam-ppong let this spot answer the call of half-and-half for $10 bucks! Fantastic stuff!!!!!
