Categorized on the platform as a "Chinese Restaurant," New HK Tea & Sushi in the Bay Parkway area of Brooklyn offers a distinctive combination of a sushi bar and a Hong Kong cafe. This blend allows them to serve a wide range of dishes, including classic Hong Kong options alongside sushi and other Japanese menu items.
The restaurant appears to be a popular neighborhood spot, frequently packed, although customer turnover is reportedly quite quick. Even during peak times like New Year's Day, wait times for a table seem reasonable. Many menu set items include miso soup, which is a notable inclusion.
Their sushi is described as "not bad," with a popular 3-roll lunch special offering a selection from around 15 classic rolls. Among the Hong Kong-style dishes, the Beef Chow Fun is mentioned as being quite good despite being a bit oily, and it features tender beef. The HK Style Set's salmon was noted to be slightly dry, but the accompanying mild pepper sauce helped. Customers can choose spaghetti with this set, prepared in a somewhat sweet Hong Kong style. The Shrimp Tempura roll is consistently well-received.
A particular highlight mentioned by reviewers is their baked rice and spaghetti dishes, which are considered delicious and a reason for repeat visits. The portions are generally described as big and affordable. While some items like the French toast and beef egg sandwich were disappointing to one customer, the Portuguese pork chop received high praise for its tenderness, flavorful seasoning, and crispy crust, with a portion size suitable for sharing. The popularity for both dine-in and takeout suggests a broad appeal within the local community.
Currently, no specific promotional information was available in the provided reviews. However, the consistent mention of affordable prices and generous portions indicates good value for money.

Decent neighborhood spot with classic HK options as well as sushi + Japanese menu items. This spot is always packed every time I go, but customer turnover is relatively quick. Came as a party of 6 on New Year's Day and waited only ~10 min for a table. Their sushi here is not bad. I ordered their 3 roll lunch special, which allows us to pick from ~15 different classic rolls. A lot of menu Set items come with miso soup, which is nice. The Beef Chow Fun was a bit oily, but still pretty good + had tender beef. The salmon in the HK Style Set was a bit dry, but the mild pepper sauce that came with it helped. We chose to have the set with spaghetti, which was a bit sweet, per HK style. Lastly, the Shrimp Tempura roll was solid and always a crowd favorite.
HK Tea & Sushi, a Bay Parkway restaurant, uniquely blends a sushi bar and Hong Kong cafe. Portion is big and affordable. I like coming here for their baked rice/spaghetti. I ordered their french toast, portuguese porkchop rice, beef egg sandwich, and their HK milk tea.The French toast and beef egg sandwich were disappointing, with the French toast being bland and the beef sandwich was lacking a satisfying flavor combination. The Portuguese pork chop at HK Tea and Sushi was delicious due to its tender meat, flavorful seasoning, and crispy crust. It's enough to serve 2 people. I went during lunch time and inside was already packed. I also see that many people order takeouts. This is the only place that I know that actually makes delicious baked rice/ spaghetti and I'll be back here again just for it.
Unbeatable prices with large portions. Many people recommended the cheese-baked spaghetti but in my honest opinion, it’s not very good. Their stir-fried noodles are much better and perhaps the best thing on their menu is the condensed milk toast.
Cheap prices, not everything is good. It's hit or miss. Sushi were ok,some too much rice ( but quality expected) , sashimi fresh. Salmon skin salad was without any dressing. Pork intestine was very good. Later to the evening the restaurant was full with kids. I guess we have to come back to try more dishes.
I’ve called them about the mistake, the lady who picked up the phone is not taking responsibility. Therefore, here I am. I’ve ordered spaghetti, not rice. For the toast, I’ve ordered the more expensive one with peanut butter, they gave me the cheaper one. Instead of giving explanations, they should give me a solution.
