New Golden Dragon

We love this place for dim sum! It’s old and a little run down, but the food is fantastic. The servers are usually friendly and there is so much to choose from. It’s a great Saturday morning outing! Dim sum is only Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 AM - 2 PM.

BEST DIM SUM IN SALT LAKE CITY! Every time I go here it’s such a pleasure. The staff are quick and kind, despite a few translation errors. Food is delicious. Give this place a try on a weekend morning!

Whoever used to own this place must have sold it and took the best chefs away because the people working now in the kitchen seem to have never cooked Chinese dishes before. Fried rice was served slightly warmed over, as if it's never even been in the wok. Shrimp balls with tofu was unnaturally sweet, and tofu was of the store bought, frozen type, not freshly fried. Tofu even tasted sour, as if it sat too long on the counter. Salt Pepper Pork Chops was at least edible, but it was not crispy nor crunchy. I cannot recommend this place if you're craving Cantonese cooking. Not even sure I should bother with their dim sum.

Started off pretty good; I haven't seen those carts in a while. They were wheeling them around pretty frequently and with lots of variety in the beginning, but ended up only serving a section of the restaurant in the end. Guess they were getting ready to end service? Got really confused and had to walk up to them to grab my dim sum instead. Otherwise, decent quality dim sum for an ok price. Nothing out of this world, but also scratches an itch.

One of the most delicious Chinese Restaurants in the Salt Lake City area. It’s right on State Street for easy access. The service is prompt and efficient. The menu is vast with many choices. Potstickers are different than we’ve ever had. You can tell they are homemade but not many veggies inside. Almost all meat! Not a modern super clean place, it’s an older building but the food is worth giving it a try!
