About New Garden Chinese Restaurant

New Garden Chinese Restaurant is located at 4624 W State St, Boise, ID 83703, USA. You can contact them at (208) 345-3159 or +1 208-345-3159.

As a Chinese restaurant, New Garden offers both dine-in and potentially delivery services through platforms like DoorDash. One customer who dined in described the atmosphere as a perfect 5/5 for a spontaneous date night, noting a unique vibe despite the absence of music being replaced by an "awesome LED light humming sound." They also mentioned quick food preparation, with their order being ready in just 5 minutes and deemed "pretty good." The bathroom was found to be acceptable, with a specific mention of the mirror above the sink. The reviewer also highlighted the presence of Chinese zodiac placemats, contributing to an overall 5/5 experience despite seemingly only two staff members working.

In contrast, a customer who ordered delivery via DoorDash had a different experience. They found the chicken lo mein to be "pretty bland." While the egg roll and egg drop soup were considered "ok," the egg roll was noted as soggy, and the egg drop soup was described as being too thick, resembling gravy.

In summary, New Garden Chinese Restaurant in Boise appears to offer a distinct ambiance that some customers find ideal for a casual date night, complemented by quick service and unique decorative elements like Chinese zodiac placemats. However, experiences with the food quality seem to vary, with in-house dining receiving positive remarks while a delivery order was described as bland and having issues with texture.

Atmosphere is 5/5 exactly the vibe you are looking for for a spontaneous date night. absolutely no music here, but there is an awesome LED light humming sound to listen to. Food was ready in 5 minutes and pretty good. Bathroom was acceptable (except the mirror above the sink). Looks like 2 people work here, but a great experience nonetheless. Also Chinese zodiac placemat things so again, 5/5 experience.

Ordered on DoorDash. Had chicken lo mein with eggroll and egg drop soup. The lo mein was pretty bland. The soup and egg roll were ok although the eggroll was soggy and the egg drop soup was more like gravy, too thick.

We tried the Almond Chicken, Chow Har Q, and Chicken Lo Mein. I personally thought the lo mein could have a little more flavor all though was quite good, the Almond Chicken was pleasing and the Chow Har Q was good as well. The rice with soy only enough - you couldn't taste the soy sauce! Lol ; if using Door Dash for delivery the pricing gets more on the expensive side. We paid $61.25 through Door Dash for these 3 meal portions and that isn't including tip. We were all satisfied but not everyone was with the total cost.

Ordered a family dinner for 2 and extras over 100 dollar order and recieved half a box of chicken, 6 pieces of pork and seeds, no mustard, one soup for family of 2. The fried wonton chips are not as described. They say stuffed Chinese dumpling on website but they are not. Just really expensive chips. Crazy what your dollar goes for. Oh I recieved 3 big cups of sweet and sour to last though

Honestly, the chow mein was so bland and flavorless I had to add a bunch of soy sauce. The biggest issue I had here was I ordered “curry shrimp” and I kid you not when I say I had LESS THAN 10 SHRIMP IN THE ENTIRE TAKEOUT BOX. The rest was filled with hugely chopped onions and bell peppers. Not to mention the sauce itself was so think like glue with little flavor. The picture is after it say for a while and settled, and when I dumped it out to find all 8 pieces of shrimp! The photo is only vegetables left in my “curry shrimp” I do not recommend this place at all. The Chinese buffet is better.
