About New Foo Shun
New Foo Shun is a Chinese restaurant situated at 2538 Pitkin Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, 11208, USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, it aims to provide the community with a variety of Chinese culinary options. However, based on recent customer feedback available online, it is important for potential patrons to be aware of certain reported issues regarding the ordering process and overall food quality.
Regarding the services offered by New Foo Shun, the reviews highlight a significant discrepancy between the in-store and phone ordering experiences. According to one customer, placing an order over the phone is strongly discouraged due to the receptionist's tendency to make errors. This reviewer recounts instances of spending a considerable amount of time on the phone, up to 20 minutes, only to have the order still be incorrect. This suggests a potential communication or order-taking challenge when using the phone service. The same review indicates that placing an order in person at the store is the recommended method to ensure accuracy.
The in-store service also received a mixed comment. The reviewer noted that while placing an order at the counter might be more reliable, there was an issue with receiving the correct change back. This suggests a need for customers to be attentive when completing transactions in person. Despite these issues with the ordering process and payment, the reviewer did concede that "besides that, the food is good," indicating a potential positive aspect to the actual dishes prepared by New Foo Shun.
However, it is crucial to consider all available feedback to provide a balanced and objective introduction. Another customer review presents a starkly contrasting opinion, stating that the food was the "worst Chinese food I've had in my entire existence." This extremely negative assessment raises significant concerns about the consistency and overall quality of the food offered at New Foo Shun. Such a strong negative reaction suggests that experiences may vary widely among customers, and the "good" food mentioned by one reviewer may not be representative of everyone's experience.
Given these contrasting opinions, it is challenging to definitively describe the "features" of New Foo Shun's cuisine. While one reviewer found the food to be good, the other's experience was overwhelmingly negative. This lack of consistent positive feedback makes it difficult to highlight specific dishes or culinary styles as reliable features of the restaurant. Potential customers should be aware of this variability in reported food quality.
Regarding the environment of New Foo Shun, the provided reviews do not offer any insights into the ambiance or cleanliness of the physical location. The focus of the feedback is primarily on the ordering process and the quality of the food itself, rather than the dining atmosphere. Therefore, no objective description of the restaurant's environment can be provided based solely on this information.
Similarly, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. There are no mentions of special offers, discounts, or unique selling points that New Foo Shun actively promotes. The feedback is purely based on individual customer experiences with ordering and food quality.
For local users in the vicinity of Pitkin Avenue in Brooklyn who are considering New Foo Shun for their Chinese food needs, it is advisable to proceed with caution and be aware of the potential issues highlighted in the customer reviews. The recommendation to place orders in person rather than over the phone is a significant point to consider for those planning to order takeout. Additionally, being mindful of the change received during in-store transactions is also prudent.
The vastly different opinions on the food quality β one describing it as "good" and another as the "worst" ever experienced β suggest a significant risk of inconsistency. Potential customers may want to weigh these contrasting views before deciding to order from New Foo Shun. It might be beneficial to consider other Chinese restaurant options in the area that have received more consistently positive feedback regarding both their food and service.
In conclusion, New Foo Shun is a Chinese restaurant in Brooklyn located on Pitkin Avenue. Based on the limited recent feedback, it appears that there are potential challenges associated with phone orders, and customers should exercise caution regarding in-store transactions. The opinions on the food quality are also divergent, with one reviewer finding it good and another expressing extreme dissatisfaction. Without further information or more consistent reviews, it is difficult to provide a more definitive assessment of New Foo Shun's overall quality and service. Local users are encouraged to consider these points when making their dining decisions.

Ordering the food over the phone is the worst thing anyone can do. The receptionist will mess the order up. You can be on the phone with her for 20 mins, and the order will still be messed up. To place an order is best to do it in the store. The guy at the counter will try to give you the wrong amount of money back, but besides that, the food is good.
Worst chinese food I've had in my entire existence
Amazing service! Please don't tell them how to do their job, I've seen so many people come in and talk about the people working there oike they can't here them. I feel bad. They make amazing quality food and at a fast paste, is you're looking for a quick meal that you can save for later then this is it!
