About New Dragon
New Dragon is a Chinese restaurant situated at 2413 2nd Ave in the East Harlem neighborhood of New York City. As a part of the local Chinese restaurant scene, New Dragon offers its services and goods to the community, likely encompassing a variety of traditional and popular Chinese dishes. The customer reviews available provide some insight into their service quality and delivery practices, which are important factors for local users considering ordering from or visiting this establishment.
Information regarding the specific environment of New Dragon is not detailed in the provided customer reviews. There is no mention of the restaurant's ambiance, decor, or whether it primarily focuses on takeout and delivery versus dine-in service. Local users seeking to understand the dining atmosphere would need to visit the location themselves or look for additional information from other online sources not included in this context. The lack of environmental descriptions suggests that the available feedback is more focused on the service and operational aspects of the restaurant.
The customer reviews present a mixed perspective on the services offered by New Dragon. One review highlights a negative experience with their delivery service. A customer who had been ordering from New Dragon for years reported an incident where a delivery driver allegedly lied about the amount of tip received. This led the customer to cease ordering from the restaurant, raising a significant concern about the trustworthiness of their delivery personnel and potentially the restaurant's handling of such disputes. This anecdote serves as a cautionary note for local users who rely on delivery services.
Conversely, the second review offers a highly positive account of New Dragon's customer service. The reviewer recounted an instance where they mistakenly ordered chow mein instead of lo mein. An employee, recognizing the potential error (apparently due to a "significant difference" between the two dishes), called the customer to confirm their order. Upon realizing the mistake, the employee promptly switched the order to lo mein "with no issues," earning a 5-star rating for this proactive and accommodating service. This review showcases a commendable level of customer care and attention to detail, suggesting that New Dragon has staff who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
Based on the limited reviews, a key feature of New Dragon appears to be their delivery service, although the trustworthiness of the delivery staff has been called into question by one customer. Another notable feature is the apparent attentiveness and helpfulness of at least one employee who demonstrated excellent customer service by rectifying a potential order error. This suggests that while there might be inconsistencies in service quality (as indicated by the delivery incident), there are also instances where New Dragon prioritizes customer satisfaction.
The specific types of Chinese cuisine offered by New Dragon can be inferred from the mention of "chow mein" and "lo mein" in one of the reviews. These are popular noodle dishes in American Chinese cuisine, suggesting that New Dragon likely offers a range of similar dishes, including other noodle varieties, rice dishes, and potentially meat, poultry, and seafood preparations common in this genre. However, without a menu or more detailed feedback on their food quality, it is difficult to elaborate further on their culinary features.
There is no information provided in the customer reviews regarding any promotional offers or special deals at New Dragon. Therefore, it is not possible to include any details about discounts, combo meals, or other promotions that the restaurant might be offering to attract customers. Local users interested in such information would need to contact the restaurant directly or look for any advertisements they might have in the local area.
In conclusion, New Dragon in East Harlem presents a somewhat contradictory image based on the limited customer reviews. While one long-time customer reported a negative experience with their delivery service, leading to them no longer ordering from the restaurant, another customer praised the "incredible customer service" they received when an employee proactively corrected an order error. This suggests that while there might be potential issues with their delivery operations, New Dragon also has staff who are committed to providing good customer service. Local users considering New Dragon should be aware of both these perspectives. For those interested in placing an order or making inquiries, New Dragon can be contacted at (212) 427-1786 or +1 212-427-1786. Given the mixed feedback, it might be prudent for new customers to exercise caution, especially regarding delivery, and perhaps focus on the potential for positive interactions with their staff based on the commendable customer service instance.

Order from this place for years, gave delivers guys good tips. On this last delivery gave guy too much money, when I called the restaurant the delivery guy lied about the amount he received. So be careful with these guys. No longer order from there.
Incredible customer service. Ordered chow mein instead of lo mein (apparently there’s a significant difference) and employee called me to confirm, appropriately suspecting I had ordered incorrectly. 5 stars he switched us to the lo mein with no issues.
If the chef cook your food, the food will come out OK but mostly the food is disgusting here and there is nothing they can do about it. They are in a black area. You could tell they don’t wanna be in the area and they cook the food as how they feel disgusting I don’t even know why they’re still open. They need to close down.
Good was good till I found a hair in it but I’m hoping it was mine but I can’t go back there after seeing that 🤷🏿♂️
Lunch special isn’t bad. Food is quick and fresh. Chicken broccoli is good ayy
