About New China Village

Welcome to New China Village, a Chinese restaurant located at 6313 N Main St in Columbia, South Carolina. As a Chinese restaurant serving the Columbia area, New China Village offers a variety of Chinese dishes. Based on the limited customer reviews available, it appears that they provide services such as takeout, and potentially dine-in, although this is not explicitly confirmed. To inquire about their service options, including the possibility of delivery and their hours of operation, local users can contact New China Village directly at their phone numbers: (803) 333-9877 or +1 803-333-9877.

Information regarding the environment of New China Village is not provided in the available customer reviews. Therefore, an objective description of the restaurant's ambiance, interior décor, or overall atmosphere cannot be offered at this time. The environment can play a significant role in the dining experience, and without any feedback on this aspect, potential customers will need to form their own impressions, possibly by visiting the location. Further information might be available on other online platforms or local business directories that could include details or images of the restaurant's interior.

The services offered by New China Village, based on the limited reviews, include takeout. One reviewer mentioned placing an order, implying this service is available. Another reviewer attempted to order hibachi, suggesting that this might be a menu item, although they received fried rice and wings instead. The accuracy of order fulfillment appears to be a potential issue raised by one customer. When this customer contacted the restaurant regarding the incorrect order and requested a refund, their request was refused, with the restaurant stating they could remake the food after a four-hour wait. This interaction highlights a potential area of concern regarding their customer service and refund policies. To get a clear understanding of all the services offered, including dine-in options and the full menu, it is recommended to contact New China Village directly.

The features of New China Village, as indicated by the limited customer feedback, present significant concerns regarding food quality and customer service. One reviewer had a very negative experience with multiple dishes. They described the shrimp lo mein as "terrible," the "worst I’ve ever had," noting its lack of flavor, mushy shrimp, and the use of spaghetti noodles instead of traditional lo mein noodles, which they found unacceptable. The lemon pepper wings were described as "ok," but the accompanying shrimp fried rice was also deemed "not good," with the same issue of mushy shrimp. This customer's overall impression was so negative that they stated it was a "no go" despite having enjoyed food from other "hole in the wall restaurants."

Another reviewer's experience further underscores potential issues with order accuracy and customer service. They ordered hibachi but received fried rice and wings. Upon calling for a refund due to not wanting the remade hibachi after a significant delay, their request was denied. This resulted in strong dissatisfaction with both the service and the food received. The refusal to provide a refund for an incorrect order and the condition of remaking the food after four hours are notable points of concern for potential customers.

Given the overwhelmingly negative feedback in the available reviews, it is challenging to identify positive features of New China Village. The fact that one reviewer found the lemon pepper wings to be "ok" is a minor point, but it is overshadowed by the significant issues raised regarding the quality of other dishes and the handling of an incorrect order. The use of spaghetti noodles in a shrimp lo mein dish, as reported by one customer, is an unconventional and negatively received approach. The mushy texture of the shrimp in both the lo mein and fried rice is another recurring concern.

The provided information does not include any details about current promotional offers, discounts, or special deals at New China Village. Restaurants often use promotions to attract customers, especially new ones. These could include special combination meals or discounts on certain days. To find out if New China Village is currently running any promotions, it is recommended to contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers or check if they have any online presence where such information might be shared.

In conclusion, New China Village in Columbia, SC, is a Chinese restaurant located on N Main St that offers takeout and potentially dine-in services. The limited customer reviews available raise significant concerns regarding the quality of their food, particularly the shrimp lo mein and shrimp fried rice, as well as issues with order accuracy and customer service, including their refund policy. One reviewer found the lemon pepper wings to be acceptable, but this positive comment is outweighed by the negative feedback on other dishes. Potential customers should be aware of these reported issues and may want to proceed with caution or seek further information before deciding to order from New China Village. Contacting the restaurant directly for menu details and clarification on their services and policies is advisable.

Got dinner here tonight right after work, it was our first time. Shrimp lomein was terrible, honestly the worst I’ve ever had, it had no flavor and the shrimp was mushy and the noodles were SPAGHETTI noodles🤦🏻‍♀️🤮 the Lemon pepper wings were ok but the shrimp fried rice that came with it was not good either and same with the shrimp it was mushy. Called them back once we got home and I asked if they use lomein noodles or spaghetti noodles and she said yes they use spaghetti noodles add sauce . I’ve been to hole in the wall restaurants and loved the food but this place is a no go!

I ordered Hibachi they sent me fried rice and wings when I called for a refund. They refused. Stated that they can remake the food after four hours. I just wanted to refund cause I’m no longer I want the hibachi . I’m really dissatisfied with my service and the food all together.

I should of known some thing was wrong when I saw, the sign "all sales final". That was odd for a restaurant. I ordered the shrimp hibachi, the wall said 8.00 11-3pm for the lunch special. The menu said 12.00 and change so why did she charge me 15.13? The receipt does not list what I bought. The food flavor was off with an aftertaste that mints could not get rid of. The couple was arguing in their native language, I'm mean yelling and screaming flaring their hand and shaking their heads at each other. Don't eat there.

The food here is amazing!!!! Highly recommend Pepper Steak, House hibachi Lo Mein and House hibachi fried rice. Portions are huge. Come from out of town to order here. Only reason service is a 3 is because the young boy taking orders can be a bit rude and impatient. 🙄
