About New China Town

New China Town is a Chinese Restaurant located at 2850 W Davis St, Dallas, TX 75211, USA. They can be contacted at (214) 333-9292 or +1 214-333-9292.

According to one long-time customer, the food at New China Town is generally good, with the orange chicken being a consistently enjoyable dish in recent times, despite some past inconsistencies. This reviewer, who has been ordering from this establishment since childhood, also notes that the portion sizes are generous, often enough to share between two to three people. They mention that prices have increased somewhat due to the current economic climate but still feel that the amount of food provided offers good value.

However, another recent review describes a negative experience with customer service. After a friend lost their phone near the restaurant, the reviewer called to request assistance in checking for it, as they had parked directly in front. The reviewer states that the manager was unwilling to go outside to check for the lost phone, which they interpreted as a lack of care for customers and empathy. This reviewer expressed disappointment in the manager's response, viewing it as a poor example of customer service.

In summary, New China Town appears to offer well-regarded food, particularly the orange chicken, with generous portions at prices that reflect current economic conditions. However, a recent customer interaction suggests potential shortcomings in customer service, specifically regarding a lack of willingness to assist with a lost item outside the premises. Potential customers may want to weigh the positive comments about the food against the negative feedback regarding customer service when considering this restaurant.

Afterour meal my friends phone had falling out of her purse. We had called the restaurant to see if they would look for it . We parked right in front . The Manager could not go outside to check if it was there. I say could not, more like would not. I just wanted to send out a Thank you for showing me, us that you do not care about your customers. I really find that your customer service skills lack empathy. As a manager you are setting a example to your employee's. This is what is wrong in the world. Again, thanks for your help.

Always has good orange chicken, they use orange peels in the dish. The chicken isnt that weird squiggly chicken that you run into at buffet places. Good place. Small and cozy so it isnt great for crowds more than 6 unless you ask them if you can push the tables together.

A narrow suite in a small strip center is home to this local neighborhood favorite. A super fast paced kitchen puts out a plethora of Chinese favorites. From Kung Pao Chicken to Mongolian Beef to Garlic Shrimp to Pork Fried Rice, no matter what your favorite is you're sure to find it here. New China Town offers the no frills approach to keeping prices very affordable. Decor is minimal but who needs fancy stuff you can't eat when you go to a restaurant, right? That being said, no choice is over nine bucks! Drink refills are not free unless you're drinking tea or water but they are reduced to fifty cents. Enjoy!

I originally came here from Google maps because I wanted some vegetable soup. So I called in my order for a large. It was $4.95 + tax for a quart with a few pieces of chicken breast & a little more than half way with veggies. I then paid an extra dollar because it wasn’t full of veggies and asked them to fill it full. But they only added a few pieces of broccoli and onion. It didn’t have much seasoning so I added 3-4 tablespoons of soy sauce and hot pepper oil. I then ordered the garlic shrimp which was pretty good. Egg roll was fresh & crispy as were all the veggies (yummy). Although the shrimp were pretty small they were tasty. 😊 The only real bone of contention was they have their closing time listed as 9pm on the menu and on this site as well (after leaving I discovered the only place they have the correct closing time (8:30p) is on the door, of which I had no way of knowing until after I left). And so at around 8p while I’m eating they’re dragging chairs back and forth across the floor as they are cleaning the dining room in preparation to close, which btw, was very disturbing. I understand people want to leave at closing time but just pick the chairs up. No need to be annoying. (I don’t think they meant to be annoying but hopefully they read this and have a bit more courtesy for the next customer). All in all I had a great experience and enjoyed delicious food at a fair price.
