New China Taste

This evening I placed an online order for cucumber salad, fried dumplings and noodles. Once I started eating the dumplings I felt hair in my mouth! Looked down and saw not one, but TWO strands of hair in my food. After running to the restroom I immediately called New China Taste. I told her what happened and she asked me “what would you like me to do?” I was surprised at the dismissive response I received. Rather than addressing my concern with an apology or offering a replacement, it felt as though I was bothering her and the issue was brushed aside. Finding hair in a dish is unpleasant enough, but the lack of empathy and being dismissed made it worse. The lack of basic hygiene standards is unacceptable. The individual working tonight at New China Taste showed a lack of care for their customers’ experience. I would think twice before returning or recommending it to others. I’m eagerly waiting a response from management.

I've lived off of Richmond Hwy my whole 46yrs and have only had good Chinese food from 2 establishments in the area until now! My friend tagged me in her pic and I had to try it on my own. Well she didn't tell a lie! The shrimp fried rice was the BEST EVER!! I couldn't stop thinking about it and went back 3days later..same order but add shrimp egg foo young! Amazing!!! You have to try them!!!

I’m glad that there’s a great authentic Chinese restaurant so close to home. The flavor is great and everything was good and perfectly prepared. Like the vegetables had the perfect firmness that I love. 4 stars are only because the fried rice comes a bit plain with no veggies like peas and carrots. Also, I feel at least 1 soy AND duck sauce should come with every entree, or at least ask customers if they need it when handing over the food. But other than that. So far I’m impressed!

My daughter and I came here after church. The lady was nice and very helpful. We ordered vegetable Lo Mein and combination Lo Mein. We also ordered spring rolls and a side of rice. The food was delicious! Customer service was amazing. I would say skip the fried rice. My daughter was not pleased with he fried rice.

First time ordering. Chicken Tsao Spring rolls. Rice tasted good and fresh. Chicken had good flavor, texture and size. Spring rolls were delicious! Crispy, non greasy and fresh. Front lady was nice and food was ready quick.
