About New China Star

Welcome to New China Star, a Chinese Restaurant situated at 332 Frey St in Ashland City, Tennessee. As a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, New China Star aims to provide a range of Chinese culinary options for the community. While customer experiences appear to vary, recent feedback suggests improvements in food quality and portion sizes, making it a potential choice for those seeking Chinese cuisine in the Ashland City area.

New China Star offers a menu featuring a variety of traditional Chinese dishes. Although specific details about the menu are not provided in the given information, it is typical for such restaurants to offer a selection of popular items including stir-fried dishes, noodle and rice specialties, and various meat and vegetable preparations. Customers can likely expect to find familiar Chinese-American favorites on the menu. As one reviewer noted a past negative experience with what they described as "a whole bowl of ketchup, plain white rice and hard chicken," it is important to consider that culinary preferences can be subjective, and individual experiences may differ significantly.

However, more recent feedback offers a contrasting perspective. A customer who moved to the area last year expressed initial reluctance based on some reviews but reported having two "excellent food" experiences recently. This positive feedback highlights "nice large portions," "good quality meat," and a taste that was "very fresh." This suggests that New China Star may have addressed previous concerns and is now providing a more satisfactory dining experience for some customers. The reviewer also indicated their intention to make New China Star one of their regular spots, signifying a positive shift in their perception.

Information regarding the environment and ambiance of New China Star is limited based on the provided reviews. One reviewer mentioned the absence of order numbers and a lack of smiles from the staff, which could be interpreted as a less formal or perhaps less customer-centric atmosphere. However, the more recent positive review focuses primarily on the food quality and portion sizes, without commenting on the environment. Therefore, local users may need to visit the restaurant to form their own impression of the dining atmosphere.

In terms of services, New China Star likely offers both dine-in and takeout options, which is standard for most Chinese restaurants in this category. The address provided indicates a physical location where customers can visit to eat their meals. The positive review suggests that takeout is also available, as the customer mentioned having the food on two recent occasions. The lack of specific mention of delivery services in the provided reviews means that local users would need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about this option.

Features of New China Star, based on the limited information, include the potential for large portion sizes and good quality meat, as highlighted in the recent positive review. These aspects could be significant attractions for customers seeking value and satisfying meals. The earlier negative review pointed out a less favorable experience with certain dishes, indicating a potential for variability in food quality or preparation. However, the recent positive feedback suggests a possible improvement or inconsistency in past experiences.

No specific promotional information was included in the provided data. It is common for Chinese restaurants to offer lunch specials or combination deals, but without this information, local users are advised to contact New China Star directly at (615) 792-2882 or +1 615-792-2882 to inquire about any current promotions or special offers that may be available.

In summary, New China Star in Ashland City, TN, is a Chinese restaurant that has received mixed reviews. While one customer reported a negative experience with certain dishes and service aspects, more recent feedback indicates potentially improved food quality, large portions, and good quality meat. The restaurant likely offers both dine-in and takeout services. Local users interested in trying New China Star may want to consider the recent positive feedback alongside the earlier criticism and perhaps try it for themselves to form a personal opinion. Contacting the restaurant directly for any current specials or further information about their menu and services is recommended.

Not for me. Chinese food was a new experience for me and I didn't like it, a whole bowl of ketchup, plain white rice and hard chicken. There are no order numbers so you have to know your order and they don't smile. But I could definitely eat the chicken

We moved here last year and I'll be honest I was a little reluctant to try the place due to some of the reviews. But we have had it twice now recently and both times has been excellent food! Nice large portions, good quality meat, and tasted very fresh. We will definitely make it one of our regular spots from now on.

New to town and while we were unpacking we decided to grab some Chinese. This was the place closest to us. My husband’s go to is always general tso. I went with crab Rangoon and pork lo mein. My husband didn’t like the general tso. He said the one back home was better. I tried a bite of his. It was ok but nothing memorable. The crab Rangoon tasted stale. It wasn’t good. Flavor was weird. Probably the worst I’ve ever had. Didn’t realize how bad it could be. The lo mein looked like it would be delicious but it was pretty bland and lacking any kind of flavor. It was kind of dry. I can’t even explain how that’s possible. All in all I’d never try anything else from here. We will look around for other better options for our next Chinese take out run

I just got my May fun vegetable noodle and it taste Slightly burnt flavor. I’ve been doing a lot of clean eating lately and I’m unsure if this is normal tasting for this kind of veg noodle.
