New China Restaurant, as a local Chinese eatery, likely offers a menu featuring a selection of classic Chinese dishes, catering to various tastes and preferences. These establishments typically provide options for both dining within the restaurant and taking food away for enjoyment elsewhere.

To provide a detailed introduction to New China Restaurant, let's consider the key aspects that define a dining experience: the environment, the services offered, the distinctive features of their cuisine, and any available information regarding promotions. We will also incorporate the insights from recent customer reviews to present an objective overview.

Regarding the environment of New China Restaurant, specific details about its ambiance and décor are not provided in the given information. Typically, local Chinese restaurants aim to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for their patrons. This can range from simple and functional to more elaborately decorated spaces with traditional Chinese motifs. Without further information, it is reasonable to expect a standard, clean, and inviting setting for dining.

In terms of services, New China Restaurant likely offers the fundamental options expected from a Chinese restaurant:

  • Dine-in: Providing a physical location where customers can sit down and enjoy their meals, often with table service.
  • Takeout: Allowing customers to order food and pick it up to consume at their convenience off-site.

The provided information does not explicitly mention delivery services. For those interested in having food delivered, it would be advisable to contact New China Restaurant directly to inquire about their delivery options or if they partner with any third-party delivery platforms.

When considering the features of New China Restaurant, the primary aspect is their cuisine. Based on a positive customer review, it seems that New China Restaurant offers dishes that may include less commonly found ingredients, such as water chestnuts, which was appreciated by one diner. Another positive note from the same review highlights a dish of "garlic chicken" that featured "three mushroom varieties," suggesting a potentially more nuanced and flavorful approach to some of their offerings.

However, it is crucial to also consider a contrasting negative review. This customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with their recent takeout experiences, describing the food as "inedible." They specifically mentioned that the chicken was "hard and crunchy throughout as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for days." This reviewer stated their intention to report the restaurant to the health department due to the perceived poor quality of the food. This starkly negative feedback raises concerns about the consistency and quality control of the food preparation at New China Restaurant.

The discrepancy between the positive and negative reviews suggests a potentially inconsistent dining experience. While one customer lauded the "fabulous food" and the inclusion of unique ingredients, another found the takeout to be of extremely poor quality. This makes it challenging to form a definitive overall assessment of the food quality without more information or a larger consensus from multiple reviews.

Regarding promotional information, the provided data does not include any details about current specials, discounts, or other promotions that New China Restaurant might be offering. Local restaurants often have lunch specials, combination deals, or seasonal promotions to attract customers. To learn about any such offers at New China Restaurant, it would be best to check their website (if available), their social media pages (if they are active on these platforms), or by contacting them directly via phone.

In conclusion, New China Restaurant in East Ridge, TN, operates as a local Chinese restaurant offering dine-in and takeout services. While one customer reported a highly positive experience with flavorful dishes featuring interesting ingredients like water chestnuts and multiple mushroom varieties, another recent customer described their takeout food as inedible due to the poor quality and texture of the chicken. This significant difference in recent experiences suggests potential inconsistencies in food quality. Without more information, it is difficult to ascertain the typical standard of their cuisine. Potential customers may want to consider these contrasting reviews when making a decision. To inquire about their menu, delivery options, or any ongoing promotions, contacting New China Restaurant directly at the provided phone number is recommended.

For local users in East Ridge, TN, New China Restaurant presents itself as an option for Chinese cuisine. Given the mixed recent reviews, it might be prudent to either try a small order initially or inquire further about their food preparation methods and recent quality standards before placing a larger order. The positive review highlights the potential for well-prepared and interesting dishes, while the negative review serves as a caution regarding potential quality issues. As with any dining establishment, experiences can vary, and further investigation or personal experience may be necessary to form a complete opinion of New China Restaurant.

Fabulous food. I haven’t experienced water chestnuts in a dish in a long time. Thank you. Three mushroom varieties in the garlic chicken. Exceptional! 💋

I don’t know what happened because they used to be fairly decent. Last 2 times I ordered takeout, it was inedible. The chicken was hard and crunchy throughout as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for days. Last time and I will be reporting them to the health department for passing that garbage off as food. What a ripoff.

I was placing an order for my husband. She asked if I wanted plate or combo? I said I’m not sure let me tell you what I want and you tell me which one I need to order. I said I was the sweet and sour chicken and can I get 1/2 rice and 1/2 noodles? She literally shouts at me no no no no no we do not do that, sweet sour chicken come rice. I said well can I pay extra and have it come 1/2 rice and 1/2 noodles?Again she shouts at me at the top of her lungs NO NO NO NO NO WE DO NOT DO THAT, IT COME RICE!!!!! The longer I stand there the more I was noticing the place literally smelled like pure sewage I just turned and walked out. I figured if I want half rice and half noodles there would be an upcharge and I was fine with that but to flat out scream at me at the top of her lungs was most definitely not the correct way to address a paying customer! I won’t ever be back to this store that wreaked of the smell of raw sewage and the owner lady’s attitude matched the odor! I will not ever stand and be screamed at by anyone much less a business I’m buying from. Much less stand in there with the ordor so loud it made me nauseous! Honestly I noticed the odor when I walked in but I thought maybe it was cabbage or broccoli cause those can be strong scents. The longer I stood there I knew it wasn’t broccoli nor cabbage it was raw sewage scent and that is pure nastiness. I normally don’t do bad reviews because I don’t want to hurt a small business especially but the health department needs to investigate the odor in that place. The owner needs to learn how to treat and speak to paying customers! What is wrong with these people these days?? No excuses for poor customer service and zero excuse to ever open your loud mouth and scream and talk down to a paying customer, EVERRRRRR!

Pros: Mongolian and Hunan dishes are great! Lo mein and fried rice are good as well. Cons: House Special Chop Suey was the most bland meal I have ever had. No taste. My cats liked it though. Service: Polite communication is not always available.

Worst Chinese "food" I have ever eaten. The "sauce" crazy heavy thick and had a gross flavor & texture to it (you could literally almost chew the gravy) I'm not sure it was even beef but it was full of gristle toughness a strange order & flavor. I rarely leave a bad review, but this was well worth the exception.
