About New China Pacific

New China Pacific is a Chinese restaurant located at 683 Linwood Ave, Whitinsville, MA 01588, USA. They can be contacted at (508) 234-8100 or +1 508-234-8100.

As a "Chinese Restaurant," New China Pacific offers both takeout and dine-in services. One notable feature mentioned in a review is their exceptionally fast takeout preparation time. For a substantial $80 order, the food was reportedly ready in approximately 13 minutes.

The restaurant does not offer different sizes for its dishes, and appetizers like egg rolls and spring rolls come with two per order. Reviews provide mixed feedback on specific food items:

  • Egg roll: Described as tasting "ok but odd," primarily consisting of cabbage and ground meat, and noted for being soft rather than crunchy.
  • Spring roll: Large in size and tasting "decent" but somewhat oily inside, with a filling that is predominantly cabbage with a small amount of carrot.
  • Boneless ribs: Flavor is considered good, but they are noted to be dry and not charred.
  • Crab rangoons: The wontons are described as nice, but the filling is simply plain cream cheese without any crab or krab, which was a significant disappointment for one reviewer.
  • Hawaiian fried rice: Received positive feedback for its taste and good amount of various meats (chicken, ham, shrimp), though it contained very little egg and onion.
  • Marco polo: The taste is described as "very good" with tender ground pork. However, it lacked sufficient sauce and consisted of a disproportionate amount of plain noodles compared to the lobster sauce, and it was not prepared with pork lo mein as indicated on the menu. This dish was also considered expensive at $19.
  • Duck sauce: Highly praised as "delicious."
  • Hot mustard: Described as watery but with an acceptable taste, offering a significant heat.

Despite some criticisms regarding specific dishes, one reviewer mentioned great service and order accuracy for takeout. New China Pacific also offers dine-in with a separate dining room from the bar, making it a family-friendly option. The restrooms are reported to be clean. This reviewer rated the restaurant highly as a good local establishment.

Overall, New China Pacific offers fast takeout and dine-in options in Whitinsville. While some dishes received mixed reviews regarding their ingredients and preparation, the restaurant is appreciated for its quick service, friendly environment, and separate dining area. If you're looking for a local Chinese restaurant with efficient service and a family-friendly setup, New China Pacific might be worth a visit, keeping in mind the varied feedback on specific menu items.

Ordered $80 worth of takeout and the lady said it usually takes 10 minutes. I thought she was joking but it actually took like 13. I don't know how they're so fast. What's pretty odd is they don't have different sizes for any dishes. Eggroll and spring roll comes with 2 per order. Eggroll - It tasted ok but odd. Mostly cabbage and ground meat. Soft and not crunchy at all. I don't usually like eggrolls to begin with though I like spring rolls. Spring roll - Very big. It tastes decent but is a bit oily inside and is about 95% cabbage and 5% carrot. Absolutely nothing else in it. Boneless ribs - Good flavor but very dry and not charred. Crab rangoons - Nice wontons but it's literally plain cream cheese inside. No crab/krab whatsoever. Very disappointing. Hawaiian fried rice - It tastes pretty good. Good amounts of various meats (chicken, ham, shrimp). Very little egg and onion. Marco polo - It tastes very good. Tender ground pork. Not much of actual sauce though. Massive downside is it's about 1.5 servings of lobster sauce with 4 servings of plain noodles. On the menu it says it's on pork lo mein but it definitely wasn't. $19, extremely expensive for plain noodles. Duck sauce - Delicious, I want to drink it. Hot mustard - Watery but doesn't taste bad even with the hint of nail polish remover smell but in taste form. If you're looking for an alternative to fire for your tongue this is it. I probably wouldn't go back for a long time seeing there is much better places for Chinese food but this place wasn't nearly as bad as some I've been to.

Great service! Order has been correct everytime I have gotten takeout. Dine in is also an option with a separate dining room from the bar if you bring the kids.Restrooms are clean. 5 stars for a good local restaurant.

Very okay chinese food. Better then some in the area. Bit pricy for the quality of food.

Sat at the bar for 2 drinks and got a take home order. Their food is still very good, but the girl at the bar was also waiting on all the tables in the place on a Friday night by herself! Needless to say, she wasn't very attentive, didn't make the best drinks and reused the glasses even if it was a different kind of drink.

One of the worst places I've ever eaten. My wife's beef and broccoli was cold and the general tao chicken tasted so bland. The pork fried rice was just rice with pork in it. The waitress/bartender was not very attentive.
