About New China
Welcome to New China, a Chinese restaurant located at 69 Poplar Springs Rd in Ringgold, Georgia. As a member of the Chinese Restaurant category, New China offers its services to the local community. However, the available customer reviews present a stark contrast in experiences, with one review being highly alarming and the other being very positive. This necessitates a careful and objective introduction based on the limited and conflicting information.
Our Environment:
Neither of the provided reviews offers any specific details about the physical environment or atmosphere of New China. Information regarding the cleanliness, décor, seating arrangements, or overall ambiance is not available. Therefore, an objective introduction cannot provide any insights into the restaurant's environment.
Our Services:
The reviews do not explicitly detail the types of services offered by New China, such as dine-in, takeout, or delivery. However, the fact that one customer "ordered" a special suggests that takeout is at least an available option. The presence of a phone number, (706) 965-8338 or +1 706-965-8338, implies that customers can place orders or make inquiries. Without further information, a comprehensive overview of the services provided cannot be offered.
Our Features and Menu Highlights:
The two available customer reviews offer drastically different perspectives on the food quality and features of New China:
- Highly Concerning Review: One review employs sarcasm and alarming language, referring to New China as a "real chemical Chinese Restaurant" where one can "sample all sorts of concoctions: a dash of bleach, a hint of disinfectant, maybe even a swig of window cleaner." The reviewer goes on to describe this as a "special food of cleaning supplies" and questions the nutritional value of such "chemical elements." This review strongly implies severe issues with food safety and preparation practices, raising significant concerns about the restaurant's standards. It is crucial to acknowledge the gravity of these allegations, even within the context of a brief and sarcastic review.
- Positive Review: In stark contrast, another customer reported a very positive experience, stating, "Just ordered the daily bourbon chicken special with shrimp fried rice. Soooo Delicious and fresh! 😋" This review uses enthusiastic language and a positive emoji, indicating high satisfaction with the taste and freshness of the specific dishes ordered.
The extreme divergence between these two reviews makes it impossible to definitively state the typical features or quality of the food at New China. While one customer found their meal to be "Delicious and fresh," the other's review raises serious red flags about potential contamination or unsafe practices. The "daily bourbon chicken special with shrimp fried rice" is the only specific menu item mentioned positively. Potential customers should be aware of this extreme inconsistency in reported experiences.
Promotional Information:
One review mentions ordering the "daily bourbon chicken special," which suggests that New China does offer daily specials as a form of promotion. However, no other promotional information, such as discounts, combo deals, or limited-time offers, is available in the provided reviews. To learn more about any current specials or promotions, it would be necessary to contact the restaurant directly.
Overall Customer Sentiment:
The overall customer sentiment towards New China, based on the two available reviews, is highly polarized and deeply concerning. One review paints a picture of potentially dangerous food preparation, while the other expresses strong satisfaction with a specific meal. This extreme contradiction makes it challenging to form a reliable overall opinion. The alarming allegations in the negative review should not be dismissed, even if presented sarcastically. Potential customers should approach New China with extreme caution and be aware of the vastly different experiences reported.
Conclusion:
New China in Ringgold, GA, presents a highly ambiguous picture based on the limited available customer reviews. One review contains alarming and sarcastic allegations of unsafe food handling and the presence of cleaning chemicals in the food, raising severe concerns about the restaurant's standards. In stark contrast, another customer found the "daily bourbon chicken special with shrimp fried rice" to be "Delicious and fresh." This extreme discrepancy makes it impossible to provide a confident or reassuring introduction to New China. Potential customers are strongly advised to consider the highly concerning allegations alongside the single positive review and to exercise extreme caution. Further investigation or more reliable information would be needed to form a more objective and trustworthy assessment of this establishment. The existence of a "daily bourbon chicken special" suggests some form of promotion, but no other details are available.

Well, bless your heart, it sure is! But not just any ol’ eatin’ joint—this one’s a real chemical Chinese Restaurant . You can sample all sorts of concoctions: a dash of bleach, a hint of disinfectant, maybe even a swig of window cleaner. It’s like a special food of cleaning supplies! Now, are those chemical elements nutritious? Well, honey, that’s a mighty fine question. Let’s just say they add a certain zest to your meal—though I wouldn’t recommend makin’ a habit of it.”
Just ordered the daily bourbon chicken special with shrimp fried rice. Soooo Delicious and fresh! 😋
Went to the store and placed my order to go. Just got home and missing multiple items. One being the sauce for my sweet and sour chicken!! So now I’m eating “chicken nuggets” for dinner. 😡
Be warned. This was my go to spot for Chinese until the last time, I watched the cook drop a eggroll on the ground. About 4 minutes went by with everyone walking around it then i physically watched him pick it up and put it back in the bag with the uncooked eggrolls. I instantly asked for a refund and told the lady owner and left. Definitely unsatisfied and disgusted at this place.
I ordered food via DoorDash. I asked for no veggies and extra egg. I know the price of eggs is crazy right now. Even though they could have charged me whatever they wanted, they would not accommodate.
