Information regarding the environment of New China is limited in the provided customer reviews. One reviewer mentioned noticing that "their kitchen is dirty and disorganized," which, if accurate, could be a significant concern for potential diners. However, there are no other descriptions of the dining area or overall ambiance provided in these reviews. Therefore, an objective assessment of the restaurant's environment based solely on this information suggests a potential issue with kitchen cleanliness and organization, while other aspects of the environment remain unknown.
New China offers both dine-in and takeout services, providing options for customers who wish to eat at the restaurant or enjoy their meals elsewhere. One reviewer mentioned placing orders for takeout multiple times, indicating that this service is utilized by some customers. However, the overall sentiment in the reviews raises concerns about the quality of the food and potentially the preparation standards, which could impact the overall service experience, regardless of whether it's dine-in or takeout.
Based on the recent customer reviews, the food quality at New China appears to be a significant area of concern. One reviewer expressed immediate regret after eating the food, stating that it reminded them why they had taken a "long break from eating Chinese food." This strongly suggests a negative experience with the taste and quality of the dishes ordered.
Another reviewer, who had ordered from New China a few times previously with a less negative experience, reported observing a "dirty and disorganized" kitchen. This raises serious questions about food safety and hygiene practices. On a subsequent order, this customer described a disturbing experience where "every bite I took was almost like I took a bite of sand," leading them to suspect the food had been dropped on a dirty floor. Following this, they reported finding a piece of plastic in their food, which led them to immediately discard the meal and vow never to return. This review highlights severe issues with food quality, potential contamination, and a lack of attention to food safety.
A third review detailed a specific order consisting of wonton soup, orange chicken, Szechuan chicken, and fried rice. While the broth of the wonton soup was deemed "good," the wontons themselves were described as "very thick and not tasty at all." The orange and Szechuan chicken were considered "good," but the fried rice was heavily criticized as "horrible," with the reviewer questioning the preparation method and sharing a picture of what they expected versus what they received. This customer expressed significant disappointment, especially considering the $43 cost of their meal, suggesting that the value for money was poor due to the subpar food quality.
These reviews collectively paint a concerning picture of the food quality at New China, with issues ranging from poor taste and texture to potential contamination with foreign objects and concerns about kitchen cleanliness. The inconsistencies in quality reported by one customer over multiple orders further suggest a lack of reliability in their food preparation standards.
Currently, there is no information available in these reviews regarding any promotional offers or special deals at New China. Given the overwhelmingly negative recent feedback concerning food quality and kitchen hygiene, it is difficult to assess the value of any potential promotions without improvements in these critical areas. Local users considering dining at or ordering from New China should be aware of the serious concerns raised in these recent customer experiences.
In conclusion, based on the recent customer reviews, New China in Rock Hill, SC, is a Chinese restaurant that has elicited significant concerns regarding food quality, potential food safety issues, and kitchen cleanliness. While dine-in and takeout services are offered, the negative feedback about the food, including reports of poor taste, unusual textures, potential contamination, and inconsistency, should be carefully considered by potential customers. The lack of information about the environment, aside from a concerning observation about the kitchen, and the absence of any mentioned promotions further contribute to a cautious outlook based on the available information. Local users are advised to weigh these recent experiences heavily when deciding whether to patronize New China.

I took a long break from eating Chinese food and unfortunately this place reminded me of why I did it in the 1st place I recently ordered from them and the 1 few times wasn’t too bad But u have noticed how dirty and disorganized their kitchen is Yesterday I ordered again and every bite I took was almost like I took a bite of sand Like a if they dropped my food on a dirty floor and picked up and gave me it After further inspection I found a peace of plastic in my food I immediately throw it in the trash NEVER AGAIN!! Chinese people will served you anything for money!!
My husband and I ordered a wonton soup, orange chicken, Sechuan chicken and fried rice. The broth was good but the wontons were very thick and not tasty at all. The orange and sechuan were good but the fried rice was horrible. Who taught them how to make it?? I am sharing a pic of what fried rice should look like and what we got. For $43 we should have gotten something much better.
I order here probably a little too much but I'm never disappointed. Usually through Uber Eats but today I ordered inside. Food is always great, quick, and fresh. Excellent portion sizes too.
I drive 15 minutes to pick up take out from here. Tonight I was not pleased with the presentation of my food and honestly the taste either. My rice was mixed in with the beef with broccoli and thr bag the chicken wings came in was ripped. New China owner you gotta do better, I saw the lady check my food and she was ok with it leaving as it did. It’ll be a while before I go back, food cost too much for it to look like it’s being served to an animal.
I was initially hesitant because of some of the reviews, but I'm really glad we gave this place a chance! The food was excellent—great quality, generous portions, and very reasonable prices. The sesame chicken and garlic chicken were both delicious. The customer service was good, and the restaurant looked clean. We’ll definitely be back!
