About New China

New China, located at 748 Columbus Ave #1 in Lebanon, Ohio, is a Chinese restaurant serving the local community with a variety of Chinese cuisine options. As a member of the Chinese restaurant category, New China offers services such as takeout and potentially dine-in and delivery. The restaurant can be contacted at (513) 932-2900 or +1 513-932-2900.

Based on the limited customer reviews available, New China appears to be a place where the food quality is generally well-regarded, but there are significant concerns regarding the accuracy of orders. One highly positive review comes from a customer with a background in the restaurant industry, specifically in owning similar Chinese establishments in another state. This reviewer expressed immense satisfaction, stating, "I believe I just found my Chinese place!" They specifically praised the Dragon and Phoenix and the Chicken and Broccoli dishes. Their high praise for the Chicken and Broccoli is particularly noteworthy, as they mentioned searching for three years across over 30 Chinese restaurants in the area to find a version that tasted like their mother's cooking. Finding this at New China, located conveniently close to their home, was a significant positive discovery. Another very brief review simply stated "100% yum," further indicating satisfaction with the food.

However, a contrasting and concerning review highlights a significant issue with order accuracy. This customer stated, "Every single time I order, they give me wrong food. EVERY TIME." They even mentioned attempting to verify their order by showing a picture, yet still receiving the incorrect items. The resolution offered by the restaurant was a credit for the next time, which the reviewer found unhelpful for the current incorrect order. This repeated issue led the customer to conclude that they would no longer patronize New China, despite acknowledging that "the food is really good." The reviewer mentioned giving the restaurant multiple chances over four times, indicating a persistent problem with order fulfillment. This suggests a potential systemic issue within their order-taking or preparation process.

Considering these reviews, New China seems to offer genuinely delicious food that resonates with customers, with specific dishes like the Chicken and Broccoli and Dragon and Phoenix receiving high praise. This suggests a strength in their culinary abilities and the quality of their recipes. However, the recurring and consistent issue of incorrect orders is a serious drawback that significantly impacts the overall customer experience. While the food itself might be enjoyable, the frustration and inconvenience of receiving the wrong items repeatedly can outweigh the positive aspects for many customers. The offer of credit for a future order, while perhaps intended as a service recovery, does not address the immediate problem of having the wrong food.

Information regarding the environment of New China is not provided in the available reviews. Both reviewers focused on the food and the accuracy of the service, without mentioning the ambiance, cleanliness, or décor of the restaurant itself. Therefore, local users seeking information about the dine-in experience, if available, will need to look for additional reviews or potentially visit the location to form their own opinion. The mention of takeout in the context of incorrect orders suggests that takeout is a service they offer, and it's likely they also provide dine-in options, though this is not explicitly confirmed.

In terms of services, New China offers takeout, and based on the negative review, they also likely offer delivery, although this is not explicitly stated by the satisfied customer. The primary service issue highlighted is the repeated inaccuracy of orders, which significantly detracts from the customer experience, regardless of whether it is for takeout or delivery. While the food is reportedly good, the failure to consistently provide the correct order undermines the overall service quality and customer satisfaction.

Features of New China include its well-received food, particularly dishes like the Chicken and Broccoli and Dragon and Phoenix. The proximity to some local residents is also a potential feature for those living nearby, as highlighted by the satisfied customer. However, a significant negative feature is the apparent high likelihood of receiving the wrong order, which is a major concern for potential customers. The restaurant's attempt at service recovery through offering credit for future orders may not be sufficient for customers who prioritize receiving the correct food in their current order.

Promotional information is not mentioned in the provided reviews. There are no details about specific discounts, specials, or promotions offered by New China. Local users interested in such information would need to contact the restaurant directly.

In conclusion, New China in Lebanon, OH, appears to be a Chinese restaurant that serves delicious food, with particular praise for dishes like the Chicken and Broccoli and Dragon and Phoenix. This makes it a potentially appealing option for those seeking tasty Chinese cuisine in the area. However, there is a significant and recurring issue with order accuracy, with at least one customer reporting receiving the wrong food every time they ordered, despite attempts to ensure correctness. This problem is a major drawback that could deter potential customers, even if the food itself is of high quality. Local users considering New China should weigh the positive feedback on the food against the negative feedback regarding order accuracy and may want to exercise caution when placing their orders, perhaps by carefully verifying the contents before leaving the premises if ordering takeout.

I believe I just found my Chinese place! We got the dragon and phoenix and chicken and broccoli. Coming from a family who also owns restaurants like this in a different state, I have to say that their chicken and broccoli was SPOT on. My boyfriend and I moved here three years ago and ate at over 30 Chinese places to find chicken and broccoli that tastes like what my mom makes, and I finally found it, and the best thing? It’s like 5 mins down the road from me! 100% yum

It was my first time trying this restaurant, and surprisingly the food was very delicious. It was not what I was expecting out of a traditional Chinese restaurant. Compared to the other Chinese restaurants I have been to, this was by far the best. The service was really great. I felt very welcomed, the staffs was very nice and friendly. Highly recommended!

This is by far the best Chinese place around. The people that own and run the establishment are extremely friendly. They always get our order correct and they're fast..last night we had our food in less than 20 minutes. Their crab rangoon is the best I've ever had..the hot and sour soup is excellent, and the moo shu pork is amazing! Portions are hearty..a large will feed 2 people easily. Highly recommended them!!

This was a first and last visit. If I could give zero stars I would. I saw a post from months ago that they remodeling their dining room. As you walk through the second door you see a make-shift framed wall of plastic. While waiting for my food I asked when the dining room would be done and the young man said “no dining.. just storage back there”. It looks awful so I was worried about the food since they obviously do not care about appearance. The food was awful.. Orange chicken and General Tse chicken both were stringy and hard. The sauce on both were tasty but that chicken was fried hard.. not even a tiny bit tender. I’ve never had chicken so awful plus the two dinners were $26.00! For me and my family this visit was a one and done!!!
