About New China

New China is a Chinese restaurant located at 3330 Cobb Pkwy N #9, Acworth, GA 30101, USA. They can be contacted at (770) 917-1118 or +1 770-917-1118.

Recent customer reviews offer mixed feedback on New China. One reviewer who visited for lunch at 11:45 AM with the expectation of a fresh and hot buffet reported a disappointing experience. They found the food to be not hot, with limited selection, and specifically mentioned cold egg rolls and teriyaki chicken. Despite four people dining, no fresh food was brought out. This observation was seemingly corroborated by the fact that six other individuals came in, looked at the buffet, and then left, leading to an overall negative assessment of the visit.

Another customer had a more neutral experience, stating that the food "tasted pretty good" and found the atmosphere to be "very peaceful." However, they did note that the food was served on plastic plates.

Based on these recent reviews, potential customers considering New China should be aware of a reported issue with the buffet's freshness and temperature, particularly during lunch hours. While the taste of the food was considered good by one reviewer, the use of plastic plates for serving was also noted. The peaceful atmosphere might be a positive aspect for some diners. It appears that the buffet experience may be inconsistent.

We stopped for lunch at 11:45 Am thinking the buffet would be fresh and hot. we were wrong on the hot..... not much food and the egg rolls and the terakihi chicken were very cold. Although there was 4 people eating , no other food was brought out. While we ate 6 different people came in looked at the buffet and then left. No a good visit.

Tasted pretty good, and very peaceful. They did serve the good on plastic plates though.

8/10 it’s pretty good. Quick service, hot food, and the price was decent. I liked it more after I added soy sauce.

So the best part of this place is the service. I accidentally called 90min before opening because I didn’t pay attention to business hours and the chef answered the phone, politely took my order, cooked fresh and never said a word. It wasn’t until I went to pick it up I noticed they “technically” weren’t supposed to be open yet. Customer service is so hard to come by & he owed me nothing yet gave me everything. Food was fresh hot and very decent. I’m originally from Los Angeles so of course big cities have better food BUT I will be returning. I wish them all the best!

The buffet might as well be shut down. Granted we walked in about 12:15 but even at that time, there was almost no food on the buffet. What was there was dried out and looked like it could have been from the day before. They only have one buffet table so there's not a lot of selection even when it is full. Eventually, a few minimal pieces of new food was brought out. It was at least edible. The wonton soup had a total of one wonton in the entire bucket. We had to ask for spoons for the soup. Their carry out food might be fine but don't waste your money on the buffet.
