Based on recent online feedback from customers, it's important for potential patrons to be aware of some reported experiences. One customer who ordered takeout for five items totaling over $80 expressed disappointment with the portion sizes, describing them as "very small" relative to the price range of $13.95 to $18.95 per dish. This customer also noted a negative experience with the taste of the egg foo yong, a dish they typically enjoy, stating it tasted "really bad." Furthermore, their children reportedly refused to eat the egg drop soup due to a perceived "metallic flavor." While the broccoli and beef were deemed "good," the small portion size remained a concern, leading to an overall feeling of it being "a waste of money" and a decision not to return.

Another customer shared a similarly negative experience during a visit to the restaurant. Their initial observations included an empty parking lot and a delay in being greeted upon entering. Attempts to order a Mai Tai and a cranberry vodka were unsuccessful, as the staff reportedly did not know how to make them. The quality of the food was also a significant concern for this reviewer. The General Tso’s chicken was described as "watery and very bland," and the broccoli appeared "very old" and undercooked. Additionally, the crab rangoons were reported to contain "no crab meat." This customer also noted that their meal arrived ten minutes before their wife's, and her cashew chicken was described unfavorably as resembling "wet dog food." The reviewer further suggested that the food may have been microwaved due to uneven temperatures and found the rice to be "very unflavored and super dry." This overall poor experience led to the conclusion that the restaurant was "overpriced for low quality food," leaving the customer feeling hungry and necessitating a visit to another establishment. This customer also stated they would not be returning.

Considering these recent reviews, potential customers might want to take these experiences into account when deciding whether to dine at or order from New China Inn. The feedback highlights concerns regarding portion sizes relative to price, food quality and taste of specific dishes such as egg foo yong, egg drop soup, and General Tso’s chicken, as well as issues with ingredient quality and preparation. Additionally, there were reports of limited beverage options and slow initial service upon entering the premises.

It is important to note that these are individual experiences reported online and may not be representative of every customer's interaction with New China Inn. However, the consistency in the negative feedback regarding food quality and portion sizes suggests potential areas for improvement that prospective customers should be aware of.

I normally don’t leave reviews, this is our first time ordering from this place. We paid over $80 for five items and the portion sizes are very small for 13.95-18.95 each (at least for take out). The egg foo Yong taste really bad and that’s my favorite every time we order Chinese food. The egg drop soup has a metallic flavor and will not let my children eat it. The broccoli and beef was good but once again, the portion size was very small. Overall, It’s a waste of money and I’m extremely disappointed. We’re not coming back to this place again

Not a good experience overall first red flag was an empty parking lot and when I walked in the restaurant and no body came out for 5 minutes I asked for a Mai Tai and the young man at the front did not know what it was and said he doesn’t have it, I asked for a cranberry and vodka and they couldn’t make that, the food quality was very poor, My General Tso’s chicken was watery and very bland, The broccoli looked very old and it wasn’t even cooked Our crab Rangoons had no crab meat in it, my food came out 10 minutes before my wife’s did so she was watching me eat. She got cashew chicken and the closest thing I can relate it to is wet dog food. You can tell they microwave the food due to it being an uneven temperature throughout the meal. The rice is very unflavored and super dry. Overpriced for low quality food so now I’m $60 poorer than before still hungry so now I have to go to McDonald’s I will not be back

1st time there. My husband and I were the only guest. Servers were attentive enough. Plate was cold food was hot. Rice was sticky and cold. It was sort of pricy too. The menu is extensive so we might give it a go again.

I ordered vegetable lo mein which was made with oyster sauce. I ordered spring rolls they stated 2 to an order and yes they were all vegetabe I ordered 2 orders for a total of 4 I received 12-15 in a bag. They were 2 inches long, doughy and appeared to be chicken and vegetables. I ordered 2 orders of crab Rangoon for a total of 6. They were over fried with a scant 1/2 tsp. Of filling. I ordered chicken fried rice which was very dry. It cost me $42. I returned it and demanded my money back which they did do. I would never recommend anyone to go here. I’ve been to Panda in KCK which I thought was the bottom of the barrel but compared to this it’s is gourmet. I will never go back!

I called in a mobile order to this restaurant. I was with my friend and we ordered 2 orders of Crab Rangoon, one order of sweet and sour chicken, and one order of chicken fried rice. Upon arrival, my friend went inside to grab it. She comes back to the car and we are missing two orders of crab rangoon. It was no big deal but my friend goes back inside to grab the two missing orders, and the front desk lady handed her one and told her that it was the two orders of crab rangoon. At this point, she comes back to the car and I then have to go inside and talk to, what I assume was one of the chefs, and I'm greeted with a glare from the front desk person. I don't think we should have had to come inside three seperate times to get our order. This genuinely wasn't a huge deal until the rude service from the front desk person. The food was great, the service wasn't.
